Lord Forgive Them For They Know Not What They Do!

These words ring loudly in my ear. A man that spent his life time trying to teach us how we must walk, talk, praise, love and treat fellow man. This man asked for nothing. And in the end he was killed for it. What a sacrifice. Do you know the names of anyone who has been in this position? As we walk this earth we should realize we do not own it. We did not create it. We simply live on it. Yes I say, with deep sorrow....Lord forgive them for they know not what they do.

Am I Worthy Of The Assignment?

Imagine twelve people given an assignment. An assignment that will earn them a doctorate degree in the study and teaching of mankind. This group was very diverse they came from different backgrounds. They had to eat, sleep, and stay together for a long time. Their teacher often assigned them task that seemed impossible. The lectures from the teacher were sometimes hard to understand. The twelve watched their teacher, learned from him and later passed on what they had learned in several chapters in a best selling book. The book title; The Holy Bible. The twelve team members of the group were the disciples. And the teacher was Jesus. Matthew 9:10-13 Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners? Jesus heard this, and said, those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick do. I am here not to call the righteous, but on sinners.

Earth's Impending Judgement

The book of Isaiah gives us all a snapshot of things to come and things that have been. With the "natural" disasters that have taken place all over the world in the last few years, one should not have to wonder or ponder on any of it. The course of action should be prepare as much as you can for survival. And break out the #1 best selling survival manual of all time. The Bible. I have mine posted up next to my flash light, spare batteries and bottles and bottles of water. Got God? I know I do.

Life Well Done

Today our family buries a steadfast, kind, patriarch on my grandmothers side of the family. I am not one that attends funerals often. This one I will. My dad's uncle, my nanna's brother led a good life for 91 years. My point today is just that. Live your life the way you want to be remembered. 1 Crointhians 6:20 For ye are brought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Time Heals All

I think when that statement was made (time heals all) the author meant that the hurt would remain recessed. And the longer the pain was recessed the easier it became to deal with it. To some extent I find this true. But I also think that pain although it may be suppressed in your mind, comes out in other forms. Be it anger and hostility towards others or even yourself. Dependence on a drug or alcohol. Addictions to sex, gambling, the internet. Yes, our minds weren't meant to hide pain. The only way to deal with it is to speak it (the hurt). Let it go. God will help you with this. Go to a closet or small room. Go to the beach, cry, scream. But let God know how you feel. And then ask him to help you to heal. He will. Trust me he will. Jeremiah 30:17But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the LORD

Judge Not That You Be Not Judged

We are at a constant struggle with this. It is so easy to do this (Judge others). But the bible says to all who so quickly do so. Look wait a minute, how the heck can you judge another so fast? Do you really know the meaning behind your judgement? What if we were judged on a constant basis for our faults? I believe we would all fail. My point today is show some patients where one may falter. Be forgiving when it isn't a life or death situation. Practice this everyday. You will be surprised at the burden that is lifted when your opinion and judgement of someone falls by the wayside.
Matthew 7:5-6 says, Hypocrite!(meaning you that judge)first remove the plank from your own eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brothers eye.
Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, because they will trample them under their feet and turn and tear you to pieces. Amen

To Have Empathy Is A Blessing

How often do you feel empathy? Do you feel it when you see someone or something getting physically abused? Do you feel it when you know your friend, spouse or relative is in need? Do you share this emotion with co-workers when one has passed away? The word empathy is a fairly new word to our English Language (1909). The word is derived from the German Language meaning: The capacity to recognize and, to some extent, share feelings such as sadness or happiness that are being experienced by another. God has empathy for us. He loves us just the way we are. We should practice doing the same. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Empathy is a Blessing. Amen!

A Wise Man Is Strong

Proverbs 24:5 says; A wise man is strong, yes a man of knowledge increases his strength. Our parents and grandparents always said, "Chile you better get that education, education is the key". And truly it is so. There are two distinct education processes. The first being book and man made knowledge. The other is wisdom. Common sense. Knowing why one does what they do. Studying the soul. These kinds of knowledge are precious. In your day to day activity pick up two books everyday. One that enhances your mind and one to enhance your soul. One of which you may pick randomly, the other is a mainstay. The bible.

Am I A Pillar? Or In Need Of An Alter?

A pillar stands strong. A pillar supports. We as people can take on this role. Many of us do. We have the choice of kneeling at the alter. Or being a pillar. Both can be done at the same time, depending on what you are going through. An alter is a place usually set in a church environment consisting of a carpeted platform, designed for getting on your knees and praying to God for change. Be it yourself or a love one. Or life in general. A place where one can offer a sacrifice to the lord. "Lord I ask you to help me with my anger issues, I sacrifice this fault of mine oh Lord for you to bless me and my family so that I may show them love and kindness". Thus the saying I cast my burdens to the Lord here at the alter. The question to ask oneself is "Am I representing a pillar today?" or "Am I in the need of kneeling at the proverbial alter?" Both of which are choices in our lives. Psalm 5:3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord in the morning I will direct my prayer to you, and I will look up. Ephesians 6:18-19 Pray on all occasions. With this in mind, be alert that whenever you open your mouth, words may be given to you so that you will fearlessly make known that God is your strength.

Judgement, Living With Flaws

It is so easy to expect another to act the way we think they should act. God said so many times to the people, "I have given you all that you need, why do you do what you do?"God made us in his image. God's image had flaws too. Although God had the power to make the heavens and earth. When it came to the people, God had love in his heart. No matter how many times the people messed up. Love leads to forgiveness. When we love unconditionally, we have the power to forgive. People make mistakes. People are flawed. That includes oneself. So the next time we "expect" something from another, remember if it falls short, do not judge. Push that forgiveness button. If there is no malice. If there is no anguish. Keep it moving. God has. Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like you? Who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You should not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. God has again shown compassion on us. God will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

The Kingdom Of Glory

Why not wake up every morning oh so humble. Oh so very grateful to God for getting you up. Waking you to see the world. To be of sound mind. To be able to make godly decisions. Yes we stand in the kingdom of glory. We have to realize just that. Amen? 1Corinthians 10:31 says, so whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Mental Stress Relief

Our bodies and minds are built like no other on earth. We seem to be at the top of the chain of the living creatures that occupy this planet. Our mind and bodies work hard to maintain that statis on the most part. We do however, need to relax. We need some down time. If you can remember the human being hunted and gathered food back in the day. We have replaced that function with high tech activity. Our hunting and gathering skills have gone by the way side. We seek out physical activity. Working out. Playing with our children. But the basics of the hunting and gathering process seems to have been supressed which in my opinion leads to more stress. In order to calm our bodies we need to succintly calm our minds. Our minds need to be in an environment that allows us to pray, to meditate, to be free of clutter. On those days filled with stress and strain stop, drop and pray. Meditate on God's word. Take time out for that mental stress relief. Pick up that bible and let it fall on any page read a verse or two. And thank God for all that you have and all that you will be. Amen.

A Prayer For The World

Luke 23:34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. This is a prayer that we all can say and should say for the world today. The Babylonian ways of this world cry out, sin, deceit, death, destruction. We have to stay in the light. Pray for forgiveness. Stay in faith. And repent of our sins. That is all we can do. Amen

Perspective: Do I Beleive?

Now days it seems that everything has to be proven by a scientific fact. And most mainstream television shows try proving that point, especially when it comes to the stories in the bible. I myself do not question. And yes the stories in the bible seem to be far fetched to some. Here's my take. Story telling has been passed down for centuries. The bible is full of stories passed down. In fact there are six books written by six of Jesus disciples that are almost the same account of Jesus and his teachings. In each the author gives the reader his account in his words. Again this book( bible ) was compiled by priest years and years ago from written accounts passed down generation to generation. The bible gives you spiritual guidance. It reinforces the ways of mankind, their mistakes, their vulnerabilities, their faith tested. I can go on and on. Believing in a higher power then ourselves is derived by your perspective. Ask your self have I been in the presence of God? Has he moved mountains for me? Are there things that I have asked for that have come to fruition?I don't know how but it happened. James 2:18 Now someone may argue, some people have faith others have good deeds. I say, how can you show me your faith if you don't have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.

Are You Living In A Glass House?

This is quite the metaphoric statement. There are so many out there who expend their energy criticizing, critiquing. These words are derived from the Latin word Criticus which comes from the Ancient Greek κριτικός (Kritikos); means to separate, put asunder. Do we have that right, when is comes to our fellow man? Is our glass house so strong that it won't break when someone throws a stone at us? I think not. We should practice everyday, myself included not to make hasty, unkind judgement of someone. We should all practice the words of the bible "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" You may think that something said is in "private" and not heard. God hears all. Stay Blessed. And do not buy into that glass house market. Amen?

It's Simple; Open Your Eyes You Will See

Today the message is a simple one, taken from the book of Zechariah 10:1-2Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every piece of grass in the field. For the idols speak delusion, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd. This is the world today. If we act as sheep and listen to the delusions we fall prey. Ask God for help and strength to love your fellow man. To give from your heart. To do right by God. Amen!

Do Not Always Believe What You See

The devil is very deceptive. He will use the one's closest to us to prove his point. What we have to do is ask God to send in reinforcements. Because the one's that are being used often times do not know they are being used. There are many sheep in this world who are led by the wrong shepherd. Spiritual warfare is at a fever pitch. Those of us that can take a stand need to do so now!Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Lord give us strength. Show us mercy. Forgive of our sins. Help us to seek your help when needed. Amen

Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right

How many times have we heard this? Yes this adage is very true. I can truly say that I have been on both sides of the fence on this one. I have called a spade a spade. I have felt angry and wanted to express it in more then a verbal way. I have been a victim of anger. So when I think about this sentence: Two wrongs do not make a right. I think well, what did Jesus do. He could have destroyed his enemies, he could have brought many a city down. He could have done so many things to the vengeful, ugly acting people. But he did not. Number one he led by example. Number two he knew he had to fulfill a promise ; that he would have to die for mankind. He would be the sacrificial lamb. He and God made that pact, because mankind just couldn't get it right. So the next time you feel the urge to go off. Or you are a victim of someone who has gone off, ask yourself what would "he" do? Would two wrongs make it right? Romans: 17-19 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written. It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord.

Ye Have Little Faith

Boy ones faith can be tested, I can testify to that. In the heat of battle it is so easy to grab the reins and try to take over. What we need to do is stop, pause take a breath. We should realize that what is before us is not so big and bad. That through God all things are possible. The real test is putting your faith in him. Knowing that in your heart, you have done the best that you can. You hold no malice or ill intention towards anyone or anything. You give from your heart. You love unconditionally. With those qualities you cannot go wrong. And God will take those down times and turn them around for you. Romans 8:31 If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

The Upright In Heart Shall Glory

Your heart is the mainstay of your existence. Your heart allows you to live physically. Your "heart" allows you to feel emotionally. So when David writes in Psalms 64:10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord and trust him. And all the upright in heart shall glory. He is stating that that's how everyone should feel. Sometimes it is not so. God says trust him. Do not place your self worth in anyone's hands. Stand up, look in the mirror and say "God makes no mistakes" I am loved in God's eyes for who I am. I will walk upright. I will bask in God's glory. No creature on this earth makes or breaks me. I am a child of God. Amen.
