My First Leap Of Faith

I can remember this day so vividly, like it was yesterday. I was about ten years old and my sister was about eight. Somewhere and at sometime, my mom and dad thought that it would be a good idea for us girls to learn to swim. Mind you this was during the nineteen sixties. In Europe. At an indoor pool where the Europeans trained for competitions, perhaps major sporting events. A mind of a ten year old could only imagine. I admire my dad in taking on this task. So we (my sister & I) were there at the edge of the pool shivering both out of fear and it was a chilly standing near that body of cool chlorinated water. Since I was the oldest I was "chosen" first to JUMP in.But before I did my dad did it a couple times to build up our confidence. I was shaking like a wet noodle, and all I can hear is my dad's voice saying "common you can do it, don't worry I got you" After all, that was my dad and he would never ever let any harm come to us. I jumped. The rest is history. In life today you may have to take that leap of faith. Know and have faith that the Lord has got you. Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
