These Are Concerning Times

The news headlines rarely give you glimpses of good and great things happening. It is mostly glum and travesty laden. Imagine during the ancient times 2 to 3 thousand years ago, how word traveled. How news was received. I do not believe the news dominated society as it does today. Many lived their lives providing for their families the best way they could. And the children were taught to do their fair share. There were some with privilege. But the humble had no desire to be like the "king". We have to teach our children today about humbleness. Teach them that it is okay to have less. Call out the ugly ones, raised by the ugly parents and pray for them. As mentors and parents we should carve out a day to ride the bus with our children. Sit in their classroom. Ask the popular kids over for lunch or a mall trip. Be all inclusive. This would bring the playing field to a more even place. Our children are our future. Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
