In the book of Samuel there is the story of Saul before he became king. On this day Saul's father sent him out to find donkeys that had wondered away. Sent along With Saul was a servant to help with finding the donkeys. The two wondered through a couple of towns asking all along had anyone seen the lost donkeys, to no avail. Saul was getting worried that they had been away so long, and that his father would have given up on finding the donkeys and would worry about his son being lost. The two came upon a town and had agreed this would be it if they did not find the donkeys they would return home. They asked to see the seer/prophet of the town in hopes that he could help. The prophets name was Samuel. He explained to Saul that God had his hand on him and that he will be king of his people and to trust and follow God's word. And his leadership would rein and be respected by the people of Israel. Saul was anointed King on the spot.Left the town returning to his home to be the man God expected him to be. On the way back they found the lost donkeys. His father was very happy and proud. God had his hands on Saul the whole time. God has his hands on you as well. Give him praise. God is looking out for us even when we think it not possible. Isaiah 49:16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.
