Back when I was a little girl my dad thought that it was very important for us to learn how to swim. We could not afford formal swim lessons so my dad taught us. It was my sister and I. I am not sure to this day where my dad picked up his skills, but he was bold enough to teach us. On the first day, which was the most frightening he began by saying, "jump in I'll catch you". Can you imagine a very scared nine year old, fighting the command in her mind. No, No, No, I do not want to do this. Oh my gosh I am going to drown. Then my mind switched up. Wait this is my dad. He would not let anything happen to us. I have to be brave here and jump in blind folded(closing my eyes) stepping out on faith. Today when I am challenged with newness, with unfamiliarity, with uncertainty I look to my God and say to myself, I have faith in God my father and he would never leave or forsake me. I am not afraid to jump in blind folded. Matthew 17:20 I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
