What We Ask Of God Is Limitless

It is so easy to pray a prayer, asking God for our needs and wants. What we fail to realize is that he takes that prayer to dreams and wishes  way beyond our wildest imagination. Let's just suppose you pray "Dear lord, I just want to be able to take care of my family, put food on the table , pay the bills, help others in need." Simple enough right? The answer is yes. However what if God did that of what you asked? By making you owner of a fleet of trucks, planes and trains that shipped food all over the world and supplied clean water and electricity to villages in third world countries? Would not your prayer be answered? God provides, yes. But God provides in his way and in his time. He may be laying a foundation by you living life's lessons. So that when your blessings arrive you will value them all the more. It is so easy for us to think selfishly, and small. When we get beyond that we open up a vast world. Nothing is impossible with God. Remember that. Always give from your heart, always have an open mind. Try not to judge, less you will be. Compassion and empathy go a long way. And it is certainly okay to be wrong. Correct it if you can. Forgive it if you can't and move on.

I John 4:16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

What's For Dinner?

Imagine walking from village to village, town to town giving Godly advise to those who listened. After awhile a following continues with you town to town. Village to village. Most  came to hear you, and see you out of curiosity.  On one particular day you had taken the boat out to cross over to the next city and you noticed that thousands had gathered to hear you speak. As the boat approached the shore, your crew became a little worried. The hour was getting late and most had come from far far away.
Matthew 14:14-21

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
“Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.  They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, women, and children.
This passage reminds us of how man often thinks. Especially when tired, it has been a long day. Why should we do for them or him or her? Why don't they get their own? Why do they always want something from me? How am I suppose to help, I can't even help myself? Jesus proves that it is not about "I" it is about we, it is about charity, it is about kindness, it is about giving up self.

Dealing With False Teachers

2 Timothy 2:14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words;it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his and, everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness. This letter was written during Paul's trek through the nations. Converting Christians along the way. Notice the warning against people who say they are of the word. This is a problem today. It is very hard for some to discern the truth. And it is not meant for one or the other to call these false teachers out. God sees all. And the Wolf will be exposed sooner or later. Stay in prayer always. Reference the Bible (whole not just pieces)always.

To A Trained Eye

Proverbs 14:13 Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning and even among fools she lets herself be known.  Most mothers have the natural instinct within her to protect her baby from harm.  Most people will not be witness to a crime without reporting it. A patient relies on a medical doctor to cure ailments. Why is so difficult for some to accept God as being the responsible one to cure the soul? Through Jesus as long as we repent our sins. God takes care of us. What is not realized is that the same demon possessed spirits that roamed the earth in Jesus time still roam this earth. In droves. We have new labels attached to their behavior but they are still unclean spirits. It takes a trained eye to recognize this. Not many can see. Not many are meant to reveal. Jesus walked through many a town in his day. Demon possessed called him by name. They knew of him.
Luke 8:30 Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" "Legion," he replied, because many demons had gone into him.

It is a very slippery slope when one speaks of this. God really really has to have his angels protect those that see. Jesus is the way, the light and his blood was shed to protect all of us. Call on God. He is the only trained eye to see  and cast out the evil.

Out Of My Comfort Zone

Humility equals pain and suffering which is not comfortable at all. Are we made to endure pain and suffering? After all Jesus did.
1 Peter 2:21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.
Does this mean we must suffer in order to understand the criteria that God has set forth for us to follow? The answer is yes, How would we know what our blessings were if this were not a part of God's master plan? So yes, although our comfort zones are compromised, we still experience this every now and then. The key is to call on God and know that he has promises he must keep.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Philippians 4:19
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

A Child Is Born

The Reason For The Season

This is the season we celebrate giving. We put aside all to make sure that our loved ones know we love them by giving them material things. Extracted from a wish list and pain stakingly brought from the many stores and mail order sites available.

Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas and simply "Santa", is a figure with legendary, mythical, historical and folkloric origins who, in many western cultures, is said to bring gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas Eve, December 24. During the Christianization of Germanic Europe, this figure may have absorbed elements of the god Odin, who was associated with the pre-Christian midwinter event of Yule and led the Wild Hunt, a ghostly procession through the sky. The modern figure of Santa Claus was derived from the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas, which, in turn, was part of its basis in hagiographical tales concerning the historical figure of Christian bishop and gift giver Saint Nicholas.
Santa Claus is generally depicted as a portly, joyous, white-bearded man—sometimes with spectacles—wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots (images of him rarely have a beard with no moustache). This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of Clement Clarke Moore's 1823 poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas" and of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast This image has been maintained and reinforced through song, radio, television, children's books and films.
According to a tradition which can be traced to the 1820s, Santa Claus lives at the North Pole, with a large number of magical elves, and nine (originally eight) flying reindeer. Since the 20th century, in an idea popularized by the 1934 song "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town", Santa Claus has been believed to make a list of children throughout the world, categorizing them according to their behavior ("naughty" or "nice") and to deliver presents, including toys, and candy to all of the well-behaved children in the world, and sometimes coal to the naughty children, on the single night of Christmas Eve. He accomplishes this feat with the aid of the elves who make the toys in the workshop and the reindeer who pull his sleigh.

In truth Christ's Mass is a Roman Catholic day incarnate. The date of Christmas may have initially been chosen to correspond with the day exactly nine months after early Christians believed Jesus to have been conceived,[as well as the date of celebration of the southern solstice (i.e., the Roman winter solstice), with a sun connection being possible because Christians consider Jesus to be the "Sun of righteousness" prophesied in Malachi 4:2. No matter the origin, we chose to give cheerfully if we can from the heart. In memories of Christ the King.

Breaking The Cycle

There has been many a time when praying for something comes first. As opposed to praying just because. How many times have you caught yourself praying " Oh Lord would you?" or "Oh Lord can I?". These are prayers of need yes. However God just likes to hear, " "Oh God thank you, I really don't want or need anything at this moment, I just want to give you praise"
Psalms 4:1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
It is okay to ask for things when you pray however God knows your needs, acknowledge him and praise him at all times. You will find that favor finds you.

Angels In Heaven

Luke 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." That is how easy it is to get in the good graces of God. It is all about feeling the regret. Being sorry. Knowing how bad it feels for the other person in pain. God sees our hearts. Our soul speaks volumes.

I Will Show Wonders In The Heavens And Earth

In the book of Joel in the bible, you find God in a humble state. Mankind was at their worst. As a result they ended up in a less then favorable position. It seemed the earth was crumbling before them. There were a lot of natural disasters. A very few survived these turbulent times. Imagine God in Zion, sitting shaking his head. "All I asked of you was to give me thanks, worship me," No idols, no sin, follow the rules of the written word at that time. But no, as with many a story in the Bible. God just couldn't take the disobedience anymore. After hell on earth though, God felt so bad. Really really bad. Like any father who had to punish his child or children. God did restore the earth and provide the needs of the survivors still putting faith in them to simply just follow the rules. Flash forward to today. Look at the worlds populations. Look at the natural disasters. See the war. Observe the blatant sinful ways of some. I imagine God sitting up there shaking his head. The difference is that to those of us who have accepted Jesus as our savior, we will be at peace with God and in his  good grace if something were to happen as a result of mankind destroying themselves with sin, we would be in Gods good graces.

Joel 2:13 So rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God. For he is gracious and merciful. Slow to anger and of great kindness. And he relents from doing harm.

The Devil Is A Liar In More Ways Then Enough

How many times has temptation reared it's ugly head? True story. As I was gathering carts in the parking lot of where I work after closing, I noticed a cart with a box on the bottom of it. In the box there was some very expensive international beers. Someone had drove off and forgotten they had it. Now the devil, said" hey put that box in your car even if you don't drink beer" "no one will know" As I came closer and closer to the stores door. The voice still persistent said "no, what are you doing?' I answered with my inside voice, "The right thing" God got this! I asked my supervisor to leave a note on the box, someone will be coming back for this. I thank God everyday and ask for that hedge of protection. Firstly, I need it. Secondly I want to be able to go up against the devil with the help and support of God. Scripture says "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Luke 6:31

Always stop, pause, rebuke. Try not to cave in to the devils whims. Once he or she is let in, they grab a hold. We have angels, when asked   will stand up to the wiles of the enemy.

Getting Back To Basics

We as people need to realize that we cannot rely on government and other entities to take care of us. We need to rely on God for spiritual guidance. We need to understand the importance of growing our own food. We need to pick up survival skills. Know what to do if the lights go out. If the heat or air condition goes out. We need to get back to basics. Then we would not rely so much on government support except to protect the country. This earth has everything we need to survive. God will supply our needs spiritually. It is time to get back to basics. Say hello to your children in the morning as opposed to texting. Give a hug as opposed to email. Have a conversation as opposed to leaving a message. Yes, it is back to basics for everyone.
Matthew 25:35-40
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Hold Your Peace And I Will Teach You Wisdom

Job:34:1-4 Hear my words, you wise men; listen to me, you men of learning. For the ear tests words as the tongue tastes food. Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.
We have become so accustom to someone else analyzing our news. Interpreting words, pictures etc. That we don't think anymore for ourselves. How lazy is that? I am saying that the media sources that we have in place gives our children excuses not to write in complete sentences via twitter. Our hand writing skills are becoming a thing of the past with tweeting, email etc. Some schools do not even teach cursive writing techniques at all. It would be a complete travesty if our space on this earth went completely black. What would the younger generation do? We as elders in our communities must teach the basics. Wisdom and understanding prevail always. With this in our tool belt along with GOD we can do no wrong.

Beyond The Pain

The God in us says that we should trust, forgive and understand ours as well as others actions.  However, when the pain is so unbearable. When the hurt is so raw, the only option it seems is to bury that fear. that pain deep inside. To keep it locked away. Without thinking our bodies and minds if healthy move on to our daily activities as though that pain has gone away. The unfortunate thing is that it hasn't. At some time or another  this pain will resurface. Something will be a reminder which will bring these things out. We tend to relive it all over and over again. We have to realize that we have no control over what happens in life. Our hands are already dealt. The good The bad and the Ugly. We have to heal from this pain. The only way to heal is to call on the Lord to help you forgive. Imagine God's pain, when his creation(man) killed/tortured his only son? Yes, forgiveness is the key.

Luke 23:24 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

In God's Eyes

Imagine a single father with a very large family. And envision if you will that father having to ensure that all the children are fed, clothed and their basic needs addressed. Imagine the dad working so hard that he has to spend time with his children, and when he does each and everyone is shown his love. His kindness. His thoughtfulness.  The father insures that each child's need is taken care of. Because he has the power to do so.  Each one of us has this opportunity. Our Lord our father sees to it that he addresses each and everyone of his children. If we call on God. He addresses each and everyone of our needs.

Isaiah 58:11The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

God is the resource

Innocence is God's Gift.

No one has the right to take the life of another, especially if it is a child. God does not like UGLY.I cannot  fathom how and why so many innocent children were killed by a warped mind. Jesus encountered many a demon who called him by name. And he theirs. We are going to have to shout out to God. We need intervention. We need some help calling these demons by name. Exercising them back into the bowels of hell where they belong. My prayer today is a true mothers prayer.

Dear God,
Please Please send your angels to comfort these parents and their families for their loss. How dare the devil raise up and do this? Protect us with the hedge of protection father God because many more will parish if we do not cover ourselves with the blood. This stain on all hearts involved is going to run deep. Father allow the healing to begin now. Have the angels surround these souls. Oh I weep in sadness. Oh I weep in a mothers pain. Please Lord come near. Help us please help us. As we pray we want you to show us peace. Show us your face. Give us the will to carry on. Love us God like you have all of this time. We are weak with man's thoughts. Take the hurt away so that  we may carry on for our children's sake. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus. Amen

To Be Or Not To Be

To be forth right as a Christian is challenging not just some of the time but all of the time. To understand that,  and yes God has great expectations of us sends ripples of fright down our spines sometimes. But through all of the anxiety that we ourselves put in the game. God knows us better then we know ourselves. His standards are not so high that we cannot forgive ourselves for our down falls.  He does. Nothing says we will be condemned for our misgivings. There may have been a time way back when, that that deemed true. However we were sent a savior. A baby born to a family on the run. A homeless family. A family who treasured values. A family who so believed in God. Our savior was  born of a women like you and I. He (our savior) had to be brought into this world like this to experience the journey man experiences each and everyday. He grew to be a man, a revolutionary of his time. Sought after because of his teachings. Eventually put to death for his beliefs, his teachings and his love for all men and women no matter from where they came.
Jesus saved mankind then and will until the end of our days.

1 Corinthians 4:14-16
I am not writing these things to shame you, but to correct you as my dear children. For though you may have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, because I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I encourage you, then, be imitators of me

Devotional Prayer Changes Things.

We pray to God in different ways. Some sing praises. It matters not how prayer is done. As long as it is done.

Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. Matthew 6:8
The Bible tells us that God knows our every thought and every word on our tongue Psalm 139:1-4)
And when we don't know what to pray for, the Holy Spirit "makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered" Romans 8:26

And You Say There Is No Hope?

Yes, this world is filled with war, poverty, crime, murder. However there is hope. When a child is born in poverty, but becomes a success and gives back to that community that is hope for the next one. When an organization takes women in third world countries and give them a business to sell their wares all over the world to make money to support their families. There is hope. When we can give from our hearts the smallest thing to someone without. There is hope. When that glimmer of light is seen by the most destitute and God pulls them from the despair, there is hope. Doom and gloom stay in places of darkness. When you have accepted Jesus Christ in your life, so enters the light.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

Wrath, Indignation, And Trouble

To feel the consequence of one's indiscretions literally seals one's fate and adds to the adage. Truth does come to light. Trouble will sure to follow. How many times have you said to yourself, oh this little thing doesn't matter? Or no one will ever know.  It is just that. Those little things that keep you from reaching the full potential that God has for you. Honesty is painful. The truth does hurt. In order to move forward this process has to take place. Be true to yourself. That way you can be true to others. Live an honest life filled with integrity. No doubt that we all fall at times. Ask God to forgive you. Dust yourself off and do it better next time.

Proverbs 15:3

God doesn’t miss a thing  he’s alert to good and evil alike.

Just When You Thought You Couldn't Go On

This day and age has brought on some of the biggest challenges man has faced in centuries. There have been more then enough natural disasters. There have been wars. There have been government collapse. There has been societies total disregard of fellow men and women.
We are at the brink. It will take nothing short of a miracle to get the peace and prosperity back our to our lands. God has shown us that he is much more powerful then anything man could ever fathom. Our saving grace is God. We must stay faithful. We must be vigilant with prayer. And we must remember that our good deeds coming from the heart do not go unseen or unnoticed by the almighty himself. This prepares us for the things to come.

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near
Luke 21:36
But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man

The Cost May Seem High

As we go through life we as humans tend to watch others and sometimes while watching some of us watch with envy.  It appears that what is on the outside of the package looks extremely inviting, or seems to be devoid of any outwardly problems. As the old adage says "Looks can be deceiving".  The person or persons that are being looked at with such envy can have so many things going on behind the scenes, if you were to see them you would shutter in dismay. The bottom line is: be true to yourself. Love you. Love God and Love your fellow man. There is no need to want  someone elses' life or lifestyle. Live your own. God will bless you with what ever you ask of him and more. Don't dance with the devil ever.

Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

It Starts From Within

How one goes through life. How one's life ends all comes back full circle to how one's life truly began. When a mother carries a child for nine months out of the year, it is a well known fact that the baby inside, senses all things the mother is going through. So if a pregnancy goes along smoothly, baby turns out to be a pretty calm collected person. Usually all is well. Now when a mother experiences turbulence while carrying that child, the very opposite of the calm pregnancy happens. My belief is this, no matter how life begins, things can change for the greater good in both cases. God has the power to change, to heal, to move you to places you never even dreamed of. God does not make mistakes. God would not let your life begin with issues that cannot be corrected through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Proverbs 2:6-9 ” For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go

Scars Run Deep Healing Is Eminent With God

As we go through life, we literally live and learn. Challenges present themselves daily. It is how we function throughout life with those challenges in tow. Can we get past the tremendous scaring in the process. Life can be put in this short analogy. When you are learning to ride a two wheel bike with out the support of training wheels and or someone holding onto you, you do fall. Some falls can turnout to be nasty spills. Scrapes, bruising, broken bones may all occur. When the injury heals, you get back up on that bike, determined as ever to take on the challenge of mastering that two wheeler. Yes, you have scars but you continue on anyway. You tend to forget the scars are there unless you re injure them. In the spiritual world we heal our wounds and get back on the proverbial bicycle by forgiving ourselves and others. We see to it that God plays a significant part of that. We need him to help us get past those injuries.

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Isaiah 65:16

That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

If It Is Broke Pray To Fix It

1 Peter 2:1-5
Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.  Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,  now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.  As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him--  you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

There's an old adage one may hear from time to time "If it ain't broke don't fix it". On the most part this means do not mess with something that is working. True . But if a situation arises and it is required that a soul be mended. That a broken heart be healed. That the broken pieces be put back together again. We have to call on our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. We have to shout out to God that we just can't take it anymore. That the only one that can help are the two previously mentioned. Let no weapons be formed against you. These burdens have to be sat down. They are too heavy to carry alone. Let go and Let God.

Age Ain't Nothing But A Number

If you read some of the old testament stories you find that some that are mentioned were in excess of one hundred years in age.

Deuteronomy 34:7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.
In our time the here and now. It does not matter how long our bodies occupy space on this earth. It is ultra important as to what you do with your time while here. In the letters that Paul wrote to the churches he drills home what it is God expects of us.  He lets us know that because man has so many weaknesses God sent a savior for all of mankind. Though Jesus was sent to die for our sins it does not lessen the burden on us to be all that we can be. To show love, compassion, kindness, charity, goodness unconditionally. That is what God wants us to do. Simple right? Not for many. We have to work hard to repent of our sins. To acknowledge God at all times. To steer away from wrong and evil. All the while we are growing older,  our deeds are being logged, by the ultimate bookkeeper.

Behold I Send My Messenger

During the time of Jesus and before. Prayer was done in the form of hymns or chants. There was no Bible to read. There was no scripture to go by. However there was word of mouth. There were messengers that passed on information. This is how man has communicated for ions. In our times today messaging is instantaneous. No longer does it take days to get a message to someone. No longer must you seal a letter with your personal wax seal. No longer does your story take on a different meaning because it has to travel by person to person. The uniqueness about messengers and messages is no matter the source, be it phone, email, text the receiver still sees and hears what it is the message is trying to convey. It is very important that we trust our hearts when conveying messages. That we come from a point of view where we put ourselves in the shoes of the one receiving the message. Remember our tools today leave out the personal touch. You cannot  see the other persons body language or facial expressions. Your words must be placed so that the reader has no room to interpret anything other then what you want to convey. Like Jesus did. His messages were told by way of parable many, many times. Parables were stories that showed the lesson in life compared to what he wanted you to take away as the message. It was better visualization.

Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Nay To The Deciever

In life we all fall down. It could be no other way. We are not perfect. We have sinned since the beginning of time. However, the person or persons that deceive knowingly to hurt someone has a heart filled with coldness. A deceiver is in denial. And will always think his or her lies are  justified. No matter the lie the truth will eventually show up.

Matthew 8:44

You(deceiver) are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Some of us can get stuck in time. Dwelling on the past.  Conjuring up reasons to stay where we are in time as opposed to moving on and accepting that we cannot change what has been. But with God we can change what can be. It is God's grace and mercy that softens his heart for us. It is Jesus his son who died on the cross for us. To not live in the past. To not live with shame or guilt. To show us the way to a good life. We need not dwell on things we cannot change. We must be strong to ward off the devils advances ( which is the past). The  devil has no clue as to what God has in store for you. That is why he torments us with things long ago.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Remember not the former things nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Destroyed And Restored

Amos 9:8 Behold the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom. Wow! This is a powerful statement. Basically it says God is watching. If you knowingly commit them(sins) without a care. Without regret. You will have to answer in the end. Of course there are non- believers. There always is. There are also the worst of the worst. The wolves in sheep clothing. Thinking they are pulling the wool over God's eyes. Nothing escapes Gods eyes nothing. Note: if God is watching Satan is too. And for every soul that turns on God guess who pulls them in? The Devil himself. It is awesome when it (sin)is recognized and repented. That is when the rescue squad comes out. That is when you know you are forgiven and should know that Jesus died for all of our sin, our shame and our guilt. He suffered for mankind and his or her sinful ways. We must remember that. Nothing is too great for our God. Nothing. And forgiveness is what he is all about.

Are There Any Bonuses Anymore?

We have become a society who many think themselves "entitled" to everything under the sun. To earn something is too much trouble, too much work. In fact many believe the world owes them something.

Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

We have to remember who we really are. We have to understand who has the power over us. Yes, over us. And that if we do not understand civility. If we do not understand charity, Or unconditional love. Or sacrifice for the greater good. We are lost sheep. God gave us rules to abide by. God sent us a savior. Who in the end will be taking the same position as before(saving souls) but on a grander scheme. Many shake their heads with disbelief and that is okay, because we have choice. However I chose to be on the right hand side of GOD. Where you chose to be is up to you.

You Wear A Smile Everyday

To know the Lord is to Love the Lord. It is a bold statement and frankly hard for many to understand. To have faith enough to know that God would not put you in harms way especially if you step out on faith. Imagine the over compensation of one's personality when they are really scared to death and are standing with no belief or faith in God? It would be a horrible mess. Because the enemy is so good at his or her game the alternative to faith and righteousness is so well hidden it takes God and his angels to put things back into perspective. Unless one's soul has been sold.

                                                                      Psalm 68:20
Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death.

Leading By Example

In life adults should be looked upon to be the elders, the wise ones. They should be looked to for wisdom and understanding. However in this day and age, there are many adults who have not fully developed wisdom nor understanding. Partially due to them not receiving any wisdom or understanding when they were growing up. Jesus walked this earth walking the walk and talking the talk. He spoke in parables  to further explain his point. He sacrificed for the greater good for everyone. This generation of humankind needs to take note. The world does not revolve around one single human, it revolves around everything and everyone. That respect is due. God so often has shown mankind where vanity, greediness, and the rest of the seven sins will lead them. We need to pray and give serious thought to how we live and what we are living for.

Philippians 3:18-19
For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.

I Just Keep Praising Him

When you go through a humbling experience in life, you do one or two things. You either remain humble and cannot thank God enough for his grace and mercy. Or you receive your gift and forget where your blessing came from. The latter is so so sad. Because God remembers. The enemy gets wedged in there somewhere. And instead of going from glory to glory most end up going through something very tragic. We must remember where our blessings come from. And always always thank God for them.

Deuteronomy 7:13 He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock, in the land that he swore to your fathers to give you.

How Brave Are You? Does It Take Courage To Do The Right Thing?

We tend to go through life either brave enough to take on the world with God's backing or just brave enough so that others can see that we are not outwardly scared to death. Most fall somewhere in the middle. In order to conquer our fears we must put our faith in God. Faith is a powerful entity. It gives you courage where there was none. It makes you brave when you were not.

Joshua 1:3-9
I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you ... No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.

If There Is Confusion It Is Not Of God

How many times have you been indecisive about something? You tend to remain without an answer as long as you contemplate it alone. If  you do not call on God to help you or nudge you in the right direction, you get confused. And confusion is not of God. God's answers are clear and precise.  And if you are really in tune with God you will get your answers subtlety like a song or a message on television or the radio, sometimes in the form of a person saying or doing something. When it is from God it is confirmed at least three times. So when there is a bunch of "mess" going on in your life it is that of the enemy. He or she always wants confusion in your life. This keeps you away from concentrating on Gods plan and path for you. Know the difference.

Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God

Who Can We Depend On?

David of the bible seemed like he was constantly fighting the enemy. Be it the giant Philistines. Be it Saul. Be it the enemies of the state. Be it temptation. He was always in battle. One constant remained at his side. That was God and God working through people like Jonathan or   Bathsheba. He could depend solely on God always.  We today are constantly fighting the enemy as well. All the time. And as with David we have to rely solely on the Lord to get us through.
Jeremiah 15:5-9
Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

In The Lord I Take Refuge

Psalm 11
In the Lord I take refuge.
How then can you say to me:
“Flee like a bird to your mountain.
 For look, the wicked bend their bows;
they set their arrows against the strings
to shoot from the shadows
    at the upright in heart.
When the foundations are being destroyed,
    what can the righteous do?”
The Lord is in his holy temple;
the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth;
    his eyes examine them.
 The Lord examines the righteous,
but the wicked, those who love violence,
    he hates with a passion.
On the wicked he will rain
    fiery coals and burning sulfur;
a scorching wind will be their lot.
For the Lord is righteous,
    he loves justice;
the upright will see his face

From Dusk to Dawn

It must have been a difficult journey for our Christ to know he had to do the things he had to do. He had to keep his mind focused on the day at hand. He could not think for example that very soon all the nay sayers would get their way and he would be put to death. In life we have to arise with the sun each day new and refreshed. Not concentrating on the night knowing that it comes everyday. No we must make the best of the day. We must focus like Jesus on the lessons and experiences at hand. Do not think oh woes me because the end of the day is drawing near. Be happy to be a part of the day. Be happy that you can change a life. Be happy that God is smiling down on you and leading you on a path of success. Jesus died for our sins but until that hour he taught his heart out.

Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

To Blessed To Be Stressed

It is a common saying these days. (I am to blessed to be stressed). However stress is something we live with everyday. How many can truly dismiss it completely? No one. We can take a look at each situation and ask the angels and God to show us favor.  To give us strength to deal with what ever comes our way.

Romans 11:36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Play With Fire You Will Get Burned

We go along in life distancing ourselves from safe havens, because we think we are okay and we get lacks in using our instinct. God designed those instincts for our safety.  We get so caught up in depending on something or someone else to protect us. We tend to go slack using this fail safe method of importance. God sometimes allows things to take place to remind us of the scorching flames that if not respected can burn you to no end. There will always be fires. Always. It is how we extinguish them that gives us the power. And truly it is God and his angels that intervene on our behalf when we get too close.
Mark 5:25-34. God needs your faith. Believe God for even the impossible.

Just Ask For Forgiveness

It is said by some that you can forgive but you cannot forget. In weighing such a thing it may be supposed that  this is caused by a deep searing pain. Usually of the heart. It is the only thing that makes one that passionate about something. God intended for us to truly forgive. Harbor no ill feelings. In many ways forgiving does mean forgetting. God forgives in a mighty way. And gives his love freely and unconditionally. He never holds our sins over our heads. We have to repent and ask through, out savior Jesus Christ to be forgiven.

Matthew 6: 14-15 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
It is not beset upon us to judge, to hold grudges, to love with conditions. We must follow Gods lead as best we can. Just ask for strength and guidance, wisdom and understanding. God will hear you.

Just When You Think There Is Nothing, God Makes Something

Just when you think all the chips are down, you get blessings out of this world. All you can do is thank God. It is amazing what he can do. You have to seek to find. You do have to knock in order for it to be answered. Believe me God sees all. When our inspiration level is at its lowest, God sends us an angel or two just to remind us how very sweet and caring he is. We can sometime get caught up in the harsh realness of it all, but if we have God it is not as scary as we thought. We must know and trust him at all times. Faith does falter but it only takes the size of a mustard seed to be within the standard God has set for us. As said on many occasions in writing these words everyday. We have to go through the fire with God in order to appreciate not letting the flame burn us to death.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

The World As We See It

Many of us go through our lives thinking totally in the moment. Not giving a thought to other places in time. Not understanding the human hard wired brain. That we are today a very intricate part of our environment.  It has taken hundreds of years to get where we are physically and mentally in relationship with nature. We have as humans become a dominant force to be reckoned with not so much in a good way. It is frightening, because we depend on farmers to grow our food, they grow faster, which may not have a positive outcome in the very end due to scientifically altered food and animals.. We have become so over populated and disrespectful of this planet. We are destroying the only home God has given us.We are led to believe that it is okay for companies to destroy nature because of the demand. That we have to dig for  fossil (old bones) to survive. What would happen if all of these processes were taken away? Would we survive? Some of us would, and some us wouldn't. The same theory goes with the religious entertainment field. It has grown fast, it has become media savvy. You see nothing but dollar signs everywhere. The humbleness of religion has fallen by the way side with all of this mega this and mega that. It ( money and fame) has men and women doing things they should not be doing. The same question applies. What would happen if all of this was taken away? Would believing in God survive ?Yes, it would. God nor Jesus had any of the pomp and circumstance of today. God says: James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord and he shall lift you up.

You Just Have To Work Through It.

When Noah was to to build a arc he had no idea why he was building it. He and his family just had to get through it. Although there is no definitive time as to how long it took Noah to build the Ark, it is hinted that it took one hundred and twenty years. That does not account for the time it took to gather two of every animal. When most read a story like this, they find it very hard to believe. Because most conceive time like it is today, not realizing that time was totally different back then. The basic thing to remember is that no matter the question as to why something has to be done a certain way as opposed to fast and filled with short cuts. Is the difference in the outcome. When God made his plan for you, it took time. And the steps that are ordered take time as well. You have to remember firstly that lessons can be learned from every experience in life. Secondly if there is no work put in ,why should the expectation be any higher? You just have to work through it.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

I Can Imagine How The Prophets Felt

What happens when you have someone telling you that they received a divine message from God himself? That the message said that they should do this in order to receive that. That in order to continue life one must listen to these words because they are going to save your life. But no one believes them. There's always infighting and bickering. These people continually question the words of God. Discouragement sets in. Disappointment sets in. You as the prophet are just doing what is asked of you. It gets really hard when you are really wanting to save these people. They are too busy criticizing the messenger, so the message is never heard, less alone understood. What the prophet has to remember is that his or her objective is solely that of God's messenger. He or she cannot change the thinking of the obstinate ones.We sometimes have to take aback the seemingly rejection of the ones receiving the message and continue our path. We cannot get discouraged because the outcome will be received by someone it may not be many but there are some who do hear.

Obedience Takes Faith & Trust

When you think of what Abraham must have been thinking when God asked him to take his only son up to the place of sacrifice. That must have took some tremendous strength, faith, and trust that God knew what he was asking and that God knew and trusted what Abraham was going to do. The thing to think about is this, when we are going through trials and tribulations. We must remember  that everything has a purpose. Our faith is always going to be tested. It is when we go through the fire that the reward is far better then what we could have imagined. Just like Abraham, God can take us to that eleventh hour. And at that eleventh hour and fifty-ninth minute something so spectacular happens we just have to tip our hats to God. Because he knew it all the time.

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

Stepping Out On Faith Does Have Its Scary Moments

Preparation of the mind to do something can be trying. But once you get it in your mind you seem to move in the direction momentum takes you. You seem to be running on adrenaline. It is when that momentum and adrenaline stops you have that quivering moment. That moment that can make you cry. That moment that makes you paralysed with fright. That moment of doubt. Look how it ended in this passage.

Matthew 14:22-32
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.  After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.  When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Faith is the size of a mustard seed. You must understand it is human to be frightened but like toning for a marathon, the more we practice the better it will be. Faith will be second nature.

Is It Wealth That You Wish For?

Wealth can be a blessing or a curse, depending on whether it is used as a means to exercise power, or a tool of self-indulgence .Wealth's danger is that it can turn our focus toward our own enjoyment.  Although money and wealth can be used as a tool in a setting of positiveness. It can help to build many things of use to others. On the other hand there are some who possess money  and hold a sacred stewardship. Our resources are not to be privately held and consumed but are to be used as a means of generosity, as a way of showing care for our neighbor. So many abuse the use of money. Less we forget that we are judged by our works, love and charity. As Jesus explains using many parables in the books of Mark, Matthew, John and Luke, money can be the root to a lot of evil.  However if sin is done with wealth and money, man  can ask for repentance and forgiveness. And through Jesus he or she is welcome back into the fold. It is just so important that when a blessing such as money is bestowed upon you that you pray mightily that it does not interfere with a good life.
Luke 16:13 No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
