Don't Hold Back
If you have love in your heart do not hold back for fear that someone may not receive it. Society has some so caught up in their own world, when spoken to or smiled at they think you are shady or you want something from them. This bothers me. Imagine yourself on a crowded bus, most everyone riding is using this resource to go some place, either to work or school. The doctor, grocery store. But they all have the same commonality. They need to get where ever it is that they are going. You do not see much interaction except the thank you to the bus driver or you can sit here. Everyone seems to be in their own zone. Many have their mini head phones on as to tune out the immediate surroundings. What would happen in this scenario if there was a slight shift in the make up of the bus. Jesus came on board. I imagine how wonderful this would be. I would not hold back at all in my greeting. I would strike up a conversation with him, it would be amazing. However I noticed that the people on the bus never flinched. No one noticed. Everyone remained in their zone. We cannot go through life like this. To be so anesthetized that Jesus presence would not matter. No that is not living. These barriers block our blessings. Yes it is okay to be cautious but to close yourself off to the world is a slow and lonely death. Psalms 80:3Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
