We Are What We Eat

Through our lives we have been "trained" to eat food for our nourishment.  And yes our bodily function relies on food to survive. However if a body ingest fat, sugar and starch. The body over time breaks down.  If one treats the body with respect and ingest, organically grown fruits, vegetables and unprocessed meats including fish, then our bodies function much better. We must not forget exercise. We have to remember that not so many years ago, man hunted for food(exercise). Man only gathered what was needed to survive. This is the physical. We also need to provide nourishment to our mind and our souls. With all of the distraction this can be very hard to achieve. When some look at the world through despair  and hopeless eyes giving up and in to the defeat seems easy. I say not. The human spirit has a built in safety mechanism. It is called will. We have the will to surround ourselves with joy. We have the will to not give up. We have the will to reach out. We have the will to not be broken. God helps us with this. So yes, we are what we eat both physically and spiritually.

2 Peter 1: 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity."
