Glory To Glory To Glory To God

We have to give God the glory. Who or what else sees us through our deepest, darkest hours. When our times get so hard we teeter on the breaking point. It is that little voice inside your heart that says: Trust in me. I will show you all things. God will bring you back from the brink. All we have to do is remember to ask him.

Luke 7:23

And tell him, 'Blessed is the one who does not lose his faith in me.

Do Not Fear For I Am With You

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

This is the essence of faith.  It is  easy to say for some, yet there are many who struggle with this. The only way to get to the heart of the matter is to shed all inhibitions. There has to be an unconditional way about yourself. Let go of everything. And stand before God , present the realness of yourself. That is when that spirit comes to you and you feel a most wonderful, awesome, loving feeling. God can do all things big and small.

There Must Have Been A Need

Have you ever wondered how the word of God was spread through out the world? I used to. Until my studies explained the little known religion called Christianity. At the time of it's infancy not many believed in God. The desciples had a heck of a time convincing people of the ways.  Also Paul who was originally Saul the killer of Christians sent many a letter to many a foreign land convincing the people of God and man's place on earth. And this message was taken to all parts of the continents. There must have been a need to have these followers listen to the word. It is amazing that thousands of years have passed since the original times and places of Jesus. And people are still in need of hearing the holy word. Which in turn leads them in the right direction for living God's way of life. Psalms 23:6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

It Takes Courage To Give The Things You Love Most Away

There are times in life where it is the hardest thing to give up something that you think you love. It is usually a habit that is involved. We as men & women tend to make excuses to keep that habit that may be in some cases detrimental to us. It takes a courage and strength beyond this world to make that sacrifice. But once on the other side of it you look back and say " I made it" That wasn't so hard. But that strength, faith and determination that failure wasn't an option kept you on that road to wellness. And we that make it through these test, owe it to God who gave us the ultimate power to do so. Psalms 136:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.

The Winds Of Change

It is true that when the wind blows, it does bring a natural change physically to everything it touches. It could be dead leaves blowing off of the trees. It could be seeds from flowers moving from one area to another. It could be devastating as in tornado or hurricane force winds. No matter the strength the wind does bring about change. In life there are changes brought about due to mild or subtle "winds". It is all in how we react to the changes. There are times when gale force winds bring about changes in our lives that seem very devastating. Again it is how we respond to them.

Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

O God The Lord The Strength Of My Salvation

Psalms 140:7-8 O God the lord the strength of my salvation. You have covered my head in the day of battle. Do not grant O lord the desires of the wicked. In these verses David is singing praises to God. He has so many that do not want to see him live to be king. He has so many who smile in his face and willing to stab him in his back. But the thing that is most distinguishing is that he does not take any of his battles with the enemy upon himself. And he is dealing with the spiritual and virtual worlds. He writes a whole chapter of songs to God to help him with this very thing. We as man can do the same. Perhaps not writing a chapter of songs, but call out to the lord to handle our problems. The lord has the  strength to do so. Call on him. He may not come when you want him to, but he(the lord) is always right on time.

Put Away Your Pride

Our Pride can destroy so much.  Instead we should put pride aside and become humble. Many can take being humble with humility as a sign of weakness. It is far from being so. Think about it for a minute. Weakness is a one sided dimension. You have nothing to do but react in a negative manner. Where as being humble you allow a peaceful disposition to come to the surface. It takes the negative energy and turns it into a positive. It does not weaken anything. It is a strength larger then us.
Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace,  but with humility comes wisdom.

You Have Not Seen Anything Yet

1 Corinthians 2:9 Your eye has not seen nor has you ear heard, nor have entered in the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love him.
Those words speak volumes. If you believe in God he can take you places that you could never dream of. There are many who can testify to that. On the other hand there are those who seem to be going through the motions because they think it is the right thing to do. It does not work that way. It really does take stripping all manly thoughts and things away. And putting on the clothes of faith. Reinforcing the promises of God. Philippians 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

And Let There Be Light

It is an uncomfortable feeling to stumble around in the dark especially in unfamiliar areas. It is so much better to walk in the light. You have less of a chance of getting hurt as opposed to finding your way through the dark at the risk of getting hurt. In the spiritual realm this same methodology applies. If we are enlightened by the word of God we are much less likely to getting hurt. When we are not, we stumble. We fall. We get hurt. Use Gods word to keep "the light on. Ephesians 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.

We Are Made In His Image

So if we are made in his image. He expects us to do the best we can. He knows what we are capable of. That is why he sent many a prophet to explain how we are to live. He gave us guidelines to follow. He sent his only son to die for our sins. We are a wonderment in this big gigantic world. We should be eternally grateful for the life given to us. And thank God for creating us in his image. Genesis 1:27-31
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so. God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Trim The Vine

When coming into a new season nature provides a natural shedding of the old to bring in the new. So that there is room for the new growth. However there are some in nature that require pruning.  The plant gets heavy and the fruit cannot produce like it should. In life this is true as well. There are times that we need to cut away the dead unfruitful parts of our lives. It can be difficult sometimes, but like in nature if the pruning does not take place it chokes the life out . When faced with such challenging decisions one really has to take that leap of faith and know that God sees all and he wants the best for you. So close your eyes and take that proverbial jump. Trim away the deadness. Keep yourself full of life.
John 15:1-2 I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

Establishing A Foundation

When Christianity was in its infancy, there were no formal churches. There were no television evangelist. There was no Bible. The spoken words of Jesus were not recorded until years after he died. But the foundation of what some of us know today, was established during the days of Jesus. His whole message was based on the loving of God, which included all men and women no matter their background. The whole Christ movement centered on inclusiveness. There should not be a soul that could not practice God's law if they wanted to. Rituals could be continued but not necessary to enter the kingdom of heaven. So, to conclude we must understand that no matter your background. No matter who you are. The foundation was established long ago. There are only one set of rules to go by and God forgives us and excepts us with open arms if we try our best to follow them.
Proverbs 6:20-23  Keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandments are a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.

The Handling Of A Cross Road

We all come to them, crossroads.  We often times run the other way when we do. Or some take the "high road". Some may take the wrong direction at that crossroad or so they think. Imagine the night that Jesus sat at the table with his disciples, knowing that there was one among them that had a hidden agenda. Someone who had come to a crossroad in his life. Someone who had made the decision of a life time. And the thing that was so amazing is Jesus knew. He himself came to a cross road in his life. He (Jesus) had to let what was to happen next, happen. So yes crossroads are of epic value. And yes, decisions can be difficult. But we have the forgiveness of God if we do fall short. We have the praise of God when we do make the right decision. And we have guidance along the way when our path leads us to that crossroad in life. Matthew 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Miracles Come In All Sizes

What most of us do not realize is that all things are meant to be taken in as a lesson learned. No matter what the smallness of it is or the largeness of it is.  We just have to understand that miracles do exist.  We should humble ourselves to the point of taking it in.
Psalms 105:5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth

Do Not Be Dismayed

One of the most difficult things to do is to wait on the Lord. We as humans want things done instantaneously, right now. God does not work that way. He (God ) is always working and always behind the scenes. What we have to realize is that he has our best interest at heart. We should be aware of the lessons to be learned along the way. You would not want to eat a slice of cake that looks great and inviting on the outside but totally raw, not cooked on the inside. So when we are down we have to remember we are not out. God has us. It may be years from now. It could be tomorrow. Just remember to stay in faith. This is a test. You have the tools to pass it.
2Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

Be Prepared For Battle

There are some who still do not realize that there is literally a battle being waged every minute of the day for our souls. The enemy never rest, in trying to get it(your soul). There are some conquest that are very easy. Most do not understand the importance of being prepared for that battle. It is very necessary to have faith in God no matter how dismal the world looks. Because our God has power. Our God is constantly at work behind the scenes. We must keep our battle plans readily available while God does his work. Helmet of salvation, Shield of faith, The breastplate of righteousness. The sword of the spirit. All of these things in addition to prayer will keep the enemy from winning. Remind God what he has promised you. Call on the angels. There are so many out there willing and ready to be called on. Stay in faith no matter what. Because the battle is not ours it is the Lords.

Be Careful Of The Company You Keep

Proverbs 13:20-21

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
Disaster and evil pursues sinners, but the righteous are rewarded with good.  These wise words were written over three thousand years ago. But can be taken to heart in this day and time. The meaning of this proverb (explanation) goes without saying. It is very simple. Be careful of the company you keep.

It Is Not About Pomp & Circumstance

It is very apparent that some factions of "religion" practice a lot of ceremonial stuff. Just to clarify, it is not a requirement to perform or keep up with these things to gain and keep the love of God. Jesus came to us to let all mankind know that. It is only through him that is necessary to be on Gods good side. Not to take away from religious practice but that is basically what Jesus taught. The gentiles (regular hard working people) did not have the "right stuff" to worship in the temples. The slaves did not have the worthiness to stand among the chosen few. God sent Jesus to put a stop to all of this. He died for it. But his rebellion created a simple and honorable practice that radiates through Christianity. Honor God by giving from the heart. Love thy neighbor as you would have him love you.* Do not use the Lords name in vein. And that the only sacrifice required was the life of Jesus. He gave himself to satisfy the sins of mankind. So no, pomp and circumstance is not a requirement.

Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
*there are many more commandments(guidelines) written these are just some.

Am I To Believe?

Am I to believe that you are here for me in my time of need? Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Am I to believe that when I am lonely or sad that I can count on you to be available? Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
Am I to have trust you and have faith in you?
Philippians 4:6-7 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ.

When you have any questions about God and what he stands for, it is okay, just pick up your bible. Read any chapter, you will see examples of God's power, his faith, his trust and his love for you.

Some May Rise

On this day thousands of years ago the ultimate sacrificial lamb rose from the dead. To prove once and for all that he was the Messiah and that God is and will always be. Jesus went to his death with so many not believing  he was who he was. His rising should have left no question. To this very day there are still skeptics. Faith and belief in God will remain a choice for mankind. We must rise to the occasion or fall into the abyss.
Luke 12:8-10 I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.  But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God.  And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Early We Rise

This weekend marks the beginning of the new. Jesus rose on the third day. He walked the earth for forty days after his rising. None of his closest friends or family recognized him at first when approached by him. It took Jesus to say or do something that brought their memory back. Thomas was the most famous (doubting Thomas). It wasn't until he put his fingers in the holes in Jesus' hand where the nails had went in, did he believe. As we rise these next few days. We need to pay homage to and recognize  all who have sacrificed their lives to make ours a better one.  That includes, parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, children. Loved ones. Life is precious, enjoy it while you are here. Amen

Good People

In the ancient times the "high priest" looked down on the hard working man and woman. If you came from a family or sect that did not practice their "religion" you were nothing. The perfect people at the time were not perfect at all. Although there were claims that if the "law" was followed there was an automatic get into heaven ticket. So it made it seem as though a man or women who did not have the proper background or family lineage were treated like dirt.  Now what kind of way is that to treat someone and you are walking in God's words and law? THAT IS WHY JESUS CAME UP AGAINST THEIR "religion. This is what he stood up against. This is what he died for. His whole intention was to let these "chosen few" know that ALL Men and Women are going to heaven if they abide by good intention and a clean heart. They follow God's rules as much as they can. But through him all sins will be forgiven.
Ephesians 2:14-15 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace

I Am Humbled By Your Power

There are many that still have trouble with believing that God can do anything. As in the ancient times man is the optimal skeptic. And I am sure God expects this and has expected it in the past. But to those of us that know of Gods full potential we just have to thank him everyday. We have to continually let others know God's power and let the chips fall where they lie. We who know God know what he is capable of . I thank him everyday.
Philippians 1:3 I thank my God every time I remember you.

Imagine Mary's Jesus Mothers Thoughts

Can you put yourself in the position of Jesus' mother? Being told that you had a special child and he is going to change the world as many know it.To have to be on the run all of the time because your life as well as your child's life was at stake?I could not imagine the strength this mother had. She was the strongest mother I have read about. So today mothers take a cue here. Take pride in your children. Love them with all of your heart. Yes, falling down, not being perfect is going to happen. There are no manuals for parenting. It is not an exact science. Just do the best you can. Mary did.
Psalm 127:3 Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.

Remain Passionate About Life

During the time that Jesus walked the earth many mistook the words the passion of Jesus to mean, the love of Jesus Christ. It goes way deeper then that. It is described in the books of Mark, Matthew and John, along with the book of Acts as the suffering of the messiah. Through out these books the story of the true messiah comes to light. The messiah is turned away and unbelieved by his people (the Jews). He (Jesus) is constantly challenged by his own crew (the disciples). He has to always show examples of who he is (miracles). He tells of his death and what happens after his death (the crucifixion and resurrection). Many of the day thought he was crazy, that no way was the true messiah be made to suffer all that he did. That is not what they believed according to God's law. Jesus always, always stated who he was and what his purpose on earth was. Until his dying breath he stayed on course. So when one is passionate about something, there is a fierce burning drive inside. There is a underlying agreement that suffering is part of this because you would do anything for your belief. That is passion.

Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

Remind God Of His Promises

God has made promises to us in order for us to get through life. What we need to do is hold God to those promises.  These are mighty promises God has made to us. We need to remember to remind him of them. God holds to his word. He has no choice. Just remember when you have done your part in keeping the faith, treating your fellow man as you should. Following Gods law as best you can, do not hesitate to ask and bring to Gods attention his promises.

Greater Is He That Is Within Me

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. This verse gives us hope. This verse gives us confidence. This verse lets us know that in Gods eyes we are his children and that if we have God in us we can overcome anything the world throws at us. This verse is vital in understanding how important we (Gods children) are. We are not perfect by any stretch of the fabric. No we are not. But we can rest on the laurels that we have a champion on our side and in our corner always.
