I Thank God For His Grace & Mercy

Just to know that I am here another day when I did not have to be, gives me such joy in my heart. I am allowed to make choices today. I can ask God's forgiveness for my sins. I can give what ever I can from my heart. And most of all I can thank God for his grace & mercy. I know with absolute faith that God is working behind the scenes to make each day a blessing. This is the faith we must all practice. No matter what it looks like. We have to remember God can literally move mountains. He can heal the sick where no doctor can. He can bring you through the fire unscathed. He is an awesome God. Even though there are times of heart ache and pain sometimes so much so you think that you may break. Get down on your knees and give it to him. We are not meant to take those heavy, heavy burdens. That is God's job.
Psalms 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
1Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

The Writing On The Wall

In the book of Daniel which is located in the old testament of the Bible, there emerges a story of a king who had come upon a wall that had been scribed by mysterious hands. He(King Belshazzar) who was king of Babylon, which is modern day Iraq, could not interpret the writing and what it meant. None of his men could either. It took the talent of Daniel, who was able to interpret dreams and other things. He had a gift from God. So Daniel told the King what the writing on the wall meant. The scribed words were a warning from God to the king that he had not honored God or his father in his behavior. And that he and his people worshiped gold and silver amongst other things. And that he would be killed and his lands split up. Of course this didn't sit well with the king or his people. Daniel was thrown into the lions den for it (another story). However, all of the things that were written on the wall did come to fruition. Thus, the saying, which has been passed down through the years. The writing is on the wall.

Apples Of Gold

Proverbs 25:11-12 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold, in settings of silver. Like an earring of gold an ornament of fine gold. Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear. In each of the previous verses, Solomon is telling us how important wise words are. Once something is spoken you cannot take it back. Why not speak of wise and good things? I am sure when God created us, he could have given us telepathic ways of communication but he did not. And purposely so, so that we can change our thinking to reflect what he had intended for us anyway. And that was to speak of good and wise things.

Everybody Wants To Be Loved

There are very few if any that do not have the basic desire to be loved. It is a very human emotion. It tends to be complicated but if kept simple it (Love) can be the most beautiful thing. God loves us as though each and everyone of us were his children. He supplies our every need all we have to do is ask. Where people lose their way is when what they ask for is not given right then. We have to remember God's time is not our time. We may have to learn a few things along the way before our blessing is granted. But it will come. Getting back to love. When God shows us his love, which is unconditional we should take a hint from his example. We should love with as much intention, without conditions and from our hearts. If we follow this guide we cannot lose. 1John 4:8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Don't Worry About A Thing, God Has Got It

We can be so perplexed at times, it takes us completely out of our element. It takes tremendous faith in God to know what to do when this happens. When you feel the sadness, the loss, the unpleasantness,  you have to clean your heart. Your spirit must be free of heaviness. Unless you are grieving over a love one, you have to free your soul. It is not meant to be perplexed. That's where faith to the tenth power comes in. God's grace & mercy forgives us of our sins. Anything that you have done is done. When you are living the life God intends you to live there is no doubt, no regret. Your feelings are okay to feel, but take it to the Lord. And leave it there. Then listen for the signs to place you where you should be. As a child of God, when you put your God listening spirit in place. All of that uncomfortableness goes away. Trust in him. Trust in yourself.
Psalms 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Woe To Them The Unclean And The Unseen

There are some who walk this earth with no "shame in their game". It matters not to them that they are doing wrong. It matters not to them  that they are breaking Gods law. I can imagine what if anything goes through these ungodly, unclean spirits minds. It reminds me of when Jesus walked the earth. He would see the demons and they him. The demons would taunt Jesus, by saying (mind you this is through a man or women), "yeah you see me, so what, what are you going to do about it?" In the book of Mark 5 1-18 you will see a sample of this very thing.  The point here being, that if the unclean spirits were about then, imagine them now. And they are loose and free. We do not have a Jesus to help call them out. We must rely on our faith and our God to protect us from this unseen realm. Pray as much as you can. Ask for protection at all times. And know them when you encounter them. May God have mercy on all of our souls.
Mark 3:11: "And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried.

Wisdom Shall Prevail

Proverbs 3:13-18 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding. For her (wisdom) proceeds are better than the profits of silver and her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand. In her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. These words speak volumes. Solomon was blessed with wisdom beyond his years. He also had a very compassionate heart. His story of coming to be is so fascinating. It would take a whole two pages to write. Just note that his mother was a beautiful African queen. And his father the King of Israel with characteristics not unlike any of us today. God showed both parents favor. Solomon the king prevails with his writings  of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and the Songs of Solomon in the bible. The above verses are just some among so many.

The Lord Will Have The Final Say

Isaiah 31:4-5 For thus says the Lord to me, as the lion roars, and a young lion over his prey, When
multitudes of shepherds is summoned against him,  he will not be afraid of their voice nor disturbed at their noise.  So will the Lord of hosts come down to wage war on Mount Zion and on its hill. Like flying birds so the Lord of hosts will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and deliver it He will pass over and rescue it.

God has the last say on all things. The verses above came in the form of a dream to the prophet Isaiah demonstrating what God will do in the end times. We should take note of his mighty power as well as his mercy.

Keep On Asking

Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
There are many who tend to call on God in their time of need only. Here's the thing. God sees all. He knows when you are in need. What God expects is acknowledgement everyday. To have an unwavering spirit within that says " I know God has my back, I have no doubt, no matter what it looks like I know he does". That belief and that faith takes you places that you would never dream of. Just say Thank You Lord. And have confidence that he will show you victory.

If You Are Christ Tell Us Plainly

 During the times of Jesus the question of who he was seemed constant. In the book of John the Jews once again have Jesus cornered and are about to stone him because of his claim to be the Son of God. And by their (the Jews) laws and history, the messiah was not a plain man performing miracles here and there. No man of their God would let everyday men and women into their fold. After all the law (of Moses and God)  was everyone that entered into the kingdom had to come  by way of  Jewish law. In this instance the Pharisees (Jewish church members & leaders) ask Jesus,
John 10:24-30
How long do you keep us in doubt? If you are Christ tell us plainly

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

What Sign Do You Show Us That You Do These Things?

This question was asked of Jesus all of the time. When he performed his first miracle, turning water to wine many were astonished.  At the beginning when asked to do something about the shortage, he told his mother they are not ready for me yet. It is not my time. Note: Jesus knew that once he started showing who and what he represented, his life would soon be over.  But his mother knew in her heart that when he did decide to perform this first miracle that it was done to prove a point. Through out the bible you will notice it is always  alluded to that the last was always made first, this is  called the "Great Inversion". When you read of the wine miracle you notice that the host had served all of his wine to his guest. He'd run out. Mary saw the dilemma and asked Jesus to help. Jesus had the disciples fill the clay pots to the rim (symbolized over abundance) with water. Jesus turned the water into wine. When the wine was tasted by the groom, it was noted that this was good wine( symbolizing the goodness and faith in Jesus). Not wine of poorer quality, which was usually given to the guest after they were feeling to good to take notice. The good wine served at this point was not last as was tradition. Again symbolic of of the great inversion. Through Jesus we all will be brought to our rightful place in heaven.

We Shall Rise And Spread The Good News

All God wants is for you to do good by him. To give from your heart. To treat your fellow man with dignity and respect. Those are the basics. The written word (The Bible ) helps us to understand the trials and tribulations, the struggle that man had keeping these simple requirements. God sent his only son to help us with lessons on life as well. The apostles continued the message through the Gospels which means Good News. We have an advantage that the ancients did not. All of this is written and has been passed down generation after generation. Where as the ancients had word of mouth. Letters written to churches. It is up to us to follow through by reading and spreading the good news to those who may not know of it.
Colossians 3:17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

His Return

In the last book of the Bible called Revelation, there is a full description of the return of Jesus to earth. Often times this book is interpreted to show that we are in the end times now and that Jesus is on the verge of returning. And that all of the things that are written in that chapter are going to happen any day now. This could be true,  the Bible is the living word of God, therefore it is meant to be interpreted.  Here are some facts. Jesus the messiah walked this earth teaching his disciples so that they can pass on the rules and regulations required to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus died as a sacrifice to save the souls of sinners. He rose from the dead to reinforce the power of God in showing himself for forty more days again teaching. In the book of Revelation. Jesus comes back to see what we have learned and made our practice over the years. Have we followed the rules as best we can? He comes back to save the souls who have. It is shown in this final book of the Bible that end times are literally going to be hell on earth. Are we ready? Revelation 1:8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, said the Lord. Who is and who was and who is to come the almighty.

To Express My Love May Come In Many Forms

There is no set way to show your love to God or anyone for that matter. Love is designed to be genuine and sincere. Love is natural. Love takes time. When the bible said in John 3:16 God so loved the world he gave his only son. Love is an action from God's heart. When David writes Psalms101:1 I will sing of you Love and justice to you O Lord I give praise. Again David is singing his Love of God from his heart. In the book of the Songs of Solomon 3:1 All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves; I looked for him but did not find him. King Solomon through poetry expresses his love for his queen. Again from the heart. So the bottom line in all of these examples, show that expressing love no matter in what form does come straight from the heart.

No One Knows What It Is To Walk In Your Shoes

Can you imagine if we all had the capability to read each others mind? I do not believe that it would not be a good thing. God intentionally left that part out of our DNA. There are so many experiences that build our life character. If some only knew what it took for she or he to get where they are, they may have a whole different perspective of that person. You really never know what people may have been through in their lives. That is why it is extremely important not to judge your fellow man or woman. Step back to look at yourself. No one knows what you've been through unless you share it. So be cognisant of your of your approach. Humble yourself. Listen to the said as well as the unsaid. Love your neighbor as you would expect them to love you. God does not display judgement, if he did we would have been long gone. No he accepts us for who we are. Each and every one.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

How Much More Can I Do?

As a Christian many of us continue to pray, to have faith and to live our lives according to the word of God as best as we can or so we think. My visit to the doctor showed me that there is always room to do more. My goal that he and I discussed back in February was to lose thirty pounds. This done through diet and exercise. I have done well and he was very proud of my progress so far, but he said okay we have to ramp it up. More exercise and less caloric intake. At first I said to myself "How much more can I do"? And the answer is there is room for more adjusting. More time exercising. Less food. This all said to say as a Christian there is more that we can do. We can ramp it up. More prayer. More giving of the heart. There is someone out there that can use an uplifting. We can always do more. Gal 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

The Lord Is My Light And My Salvation

The Lord is my light and my salvation
    whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life
    of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked advance against me
    to devour me,
it is my enemies and my foes
    who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
    my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
    even then I will be confident.
One thing I ask from the Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
    all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
    and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
    he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
    and set me high upon a rock.
Then my head will be exalted
    above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
    I will sing and make music to the Lord.
Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
    be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, “Seek his face! ”
    Your face, Lord, I will seek.
Do not hide your face from me,
    do not turn your servant away in anger;
    you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
    God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
    the Lord will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, Lord;
    lead me in a straight path
    because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
    for false witnesses rise up against me,
    spouting malicious accusations.
13 I remain confident of this:
    I will see the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the Lord.

I Rejoice In The Lord Greatly

It is so easy to get side tracked and say to yourself "Oh I can do that tomorrow". Or "It won't matter it will never be noticed" When this happens it seems innocent enough. However, it takes but a nano second for the enemy to slip in ever so subtly. This is what we need to be very aware of. For example if you begin your day with prayer everyday and you make the decision to miss a few days, that is all the more for that hedge of protection to be lowered. Think of it this way. God never takes a break. He is with us all the time everyday. We should do the same. Rejoice in him (God) Greatly everyday. Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

My Take On Life

I started writing this Blog a little over a year now. I had three main things  aside from God that inspired me to begin placing my heart in and on this forum as you see today. The first was being a mother and living through the experience of bringing life into this world and doing the very best I knew how to keep them (my sons)with it (life). The second was my son who used to see my writings and said mom you need to get this out there. There may be other mothers who could use these words and experiences. My son was very inspirational in setting this up for me. And third, a very good friend who said the same thing my son did. " You should publish your work" hence, the mothers prayer. Each day I do pray and I do place the words of my heart here so that others may say "hey it is not just me". These words are meant to inspire, support and teach. Happy Mothers Day to all mothers, fathers, sisters, family. You are inspirational in your child's life and although things may not be perfect, that everlasting God's love will get you through any storm. Believe and receive that.

What Can Be Higher Then This

When we count our blessings we look up to thank God. However there are some who assume that it was their power and their know how that moved things in their direction. That is their prerogative. But then how does one explain the unexplainable? It is the inevitable question. And for years people have tried to explain it. The bottom line is if you are a believer and have faith in God you have no doubt. If not you will live with that choice. John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.

Faith, Love and Hope

1 Thessalonians 1:3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Some make it seem so hard to "do the right thing" by God's standards. It is not. It is basic and simple. Faith in God. Love in your heart. And hope for the world to see and do the same.

God So Loved The World

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. This verse in the Bible is so powerful. How does one do that? I mean how many of us could do that? Make the ultimate sacrifice? And not intervene? And the thing that most impresses me is both God and Jesus knew what was going to happen. But and here's the crucial part. It had to be done to save mankind from himself. Wow! How many can say in today's fast paste, I me world that they would do the same? No one. The best that we can do is say thank you and provide as much love as we can to our fellow man. Be gracious enough to know, that you as an individual are of no significance unless you give of yourself with unconditional love.  Remember what has been sacrificed for you.

Be Careful Who You Share Your Dreams With

If you have read the Bible from beginning to end, some have most have not. You will find that many of God's words, thoughts and actions come by way of dreams given to some of the main characters in the Bible. Dreams were Gods way of letting certain people know what was to come. One such character made famous for his dream interpretation was Joseph of the old testament. He had this gift since he was a boy. He often shared his experiences with his family, namely his brothers. They hated him for his gift. Genesis 37:5 Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. His brothers hated him so, they sold him into slavery. Joseph ended up using his God given talent in a very useful way. The people of whom he had been enslaved needed someone to interpret the Kings dreams. Joseph did and it saved the Kingdom. In life we have to be careful who we share our dreams with. There are some who really do not want what is good for you, they harbor bitterness towards life period. On the other hand there are those who are eternally grateful for you and your dreams.

Put On The Armor Of God

 Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Speak Do Not Be Silent For I Am With You

Acts 18:9-10 One night the Lord said to Paul in a vision "Do not be afraid but speak and do not be silent for I am with you." Can you imagine being known for your treachery towards so many Christians and now you are tasked with teaching them God's way? What a tremendous turn around first of all for Paul who had been Saul. Secondly the pressure to turn the people in foreign lands to the ways of the Lord. Paul most likely had nightmares before he had visions. He had to feel comfortable in his own skin and to have faith that God trusted him to go out to do what he had to do. He could have kept silent and just stayed a faithful man living quietly among the people. But he did not. He received death threats. He was thrown in prison and finally killed for what he believed in. He was not afraid to speak about God and his expectations. In life we must do the same, maybe not on the same scale as Paul. But letting it be known that if not for God's grace and mercy where would you be? God deserves the praise. Amen
Daniel in the Lions Den God's Favor

The Original Sin

There are many scholars who have studied the ancient writings of the Bible. Who state to this day that the Original sin which took place in the garden of Eden was caused by a devious women (Eve). Therefore women have had to bear this huge burden of shame and guilt throughout the ages. It is a very conflicting position. There are many passages that allude to where a woman's place should be. God knew and to this day knows what happened way back then. It was forgiven.
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective

Every Way Of A Man Is Right In His Own Eyes

Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts. This is the crux of it all. You may think what you do is right,  that  it is good, but does it come from the heart? God if anyone knows the truth. It reminds me of the richest man in the church making the grand entrance with the big dollars. To give to the church with a big smile of satisfaction. In his mind, he has done the right thing by all who see. However his heart isn't in it, he can really care less. It's a tax write off.  Bottom line, if you do not give from a good place (your heart) why give at all? It is not necessary to be the showman or women. Not at all. It is the place from where you give, is the key. It could be the giving of a compliment, if it is sincere. It could be a dollar bus fare, if it is what you can do. It is very simple. Give from your heart. Do not have ill will. Show the love that God shows you.

You Have Something To Offer That Nobody Else Has

We often walk through life content and satisfied with what we have or where we have gotten. Or complaining about why we haven't. The thing to remember is that your dreams change. Once a dream has or has not came true. You need to move on. Not back. On and up. God is a God that knows your value. Knows your self worth sometimes better then you know your own. He wants the best for you. Believe and trust that. Never say Never. You have something in you that somebody needs and can use. If you were to pick up a handful of sand at the beach, put it under a microscope, you will find not one grain is the same. The same with us humans. Not one is the same.
The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3

What Good Thing Shall I Do?

During the times of Jesus and actually throughout the whole Bible, man asked that question. And throughout the Bible it constantly explains what is expected. But man kept failing, falling and doing out right dastardly deeds. Not all, but some. Enough to upset the most high God. Can you imagine giving your child everything he or she ever asked for and some? You taught them everything you know. You treated them with awesome love. And they (the children) still acted out. Finally you had enough and you started to punish your child for the bad things done. You had to think "wait I can't do this, I cannot punish them, they are my children" I need to get them to understand what is right and that I love them. They need teachers to reinforce what I have been trying to say the whole time. Hmm who shall have this task? I think most know the answer, just in case there were any questions. He sent Jesus. Matthew 19: 16-17 And, behold, a child came and said unto him, (Jesus)Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?And he said unto him, Why do you call me good? There is no one that is good but one, that is, God: but if you want to enter into a good life, keep God's commandments.

The Lips Of The Wise Disperse Knowledge

Proverbs 15:7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the fool does not do so.  The Internet, the television, the radio, can be full of misinformation. As a wise and thoughtful person you have to pray for discernment. Not all things you see or hear are meant for your good. Back in the days of the early Christians, lessons, stories and words of wisdom traveled by mouth. Information took days sometimes years to get to the next village or town. By this time the original story was told it most definitely had been embellished. After the time of Jesus, some four hundred years or so. The spreaders of Christianity wrote letters to different countries explaining who God was and the ways in which the everyday man or woman had the same right as a priest, or elite person to worship and be accepted of God. The peoples of these outlying countries had to discern the basic wisdom from the rhetoric. They had to decide for themselves what the true meaning of what was being told to them is. God took care of that and he still does. Listen to that inner voice. Seek out the wisdom. Do not tarry behind a fool.

Be Careful How You Live, Not As UnWise But Wise

Ephesians 5:15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live —not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. These verses say it all. Live your lives with thought and wisdom. Care for yourself and your fellow man. These verses let you know that evil is lurking around every corner. Beware and do not hesitate to call on God. He is willing and able to meet any of your challenges.
