Living With The Guilt Or Moving On

There are many who walk among us who have such a heavy burden weighing on them. They walk around either in total denial. Or covering it so deep, they think that it is unrecognizable to others. Here's the thing. Guilt usually leads to shame. Shame usually leads to depression. Depression usually leads to anger. And anger leads to an all bad outcome. It almost takes a divine intervention to rid oneself of these layers that have been piled up so long. No human can withstand this devastation without harmful repercussions. It is truly something that must be recognized from within. And dealt with. God ask that we lay our burdens on him and let them go. Practice everyday, every minute if necessary.  It takes a long time to bury such a emotion, it will take time to get through the layers. Can you imagine how God felt with Adam and Eve? He gave them everything they could ever ask for, and they still did what they did in the garden of Eden. God must have felt a little guilt himself. Nobody is perfect, we do the very best we can to over come and deal with life's hand as it is dealt to us.
Psalm 46:1-3,7 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
