Let God Arise

In ancient times the people wrote stories and songs to describe everyday life. Very similar to today's music and expression through song. So imagine walking through a market place hearing someone break out in song or a hymn. Stories were written as if someone were to speak them rather then read them. We come to one of the most noted song writers of the day, King David. He was blessed with this and many more talents. Most note worthy were his writings, reflection of his feelings, his life, his down falls, his humanness in the book of Psalms in the Bible. Imagine if you were to put his lyrics to a melody today. They would definitely be applicable to our world. Words and song of expression. No different then someone coming home after a hard days work and playing the guitar or the piano. Or using a sound machine/computer to put music to lyric. The word psalm comes from the Greek word psalm oi, which means;music of the lyre or songs sung to a harp. Psalms 68:4 Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds--his name is the LORD--and rejoice before him.
