All We Have To Do Is Weather The Storm

It is so hard to just simply have faith. We as humans want to take everything into our own hands. And when it doesn't go our way, who do we blame? Most of the time it is someone else. It most certainly is not our selves. When in essence it should be our own selves we should blame.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

A Heart Felt Mothers Prayer

It comes to pass that, things in life are truly not in our control. We don't have control on weather someone lives or if someone dies. The things that we do and that we can control is how we treat our fellow man. We can comfort, love, teach and give to any that cross our paths. You may never know if what you said was an influence on some one's life or a detriment to some one's life. We must give respect to the grandmothers, mothers, fathers, sisters, uncles out there who are working hard to raise the young in our folds. I am saying a special mothers prayer for those young souls who need that added nurturing. The ones who slip through the cracks. The ones who have lost a love one. That love missing is very difficult to contend with. This prayer goes out to you.

O, Lord of mercy,
Bless these little ones
who have lost a parent.
You know how important
A parent is
In the life of a child:
A guide, a friend,
A role model, a teacher,
A tutor, a nurse,
A provider,
A source of love and good will;
The one who lets a child crawl into their bed
During a midnight thunderstorm;
The one who holds the child’s head during an illness;
The one who changes the bedding in the middle of the night
when the child has gotten sick on his covers
Place good people in their lives
To fill the heart’s empty places
Where the parents’ love once resided.
Enter their lives,
Direct their steps,
And lead them
To the Perfect Parent
The Divine Father-Mother
Who will love them
In Jesus’ name.

You Are The Bigger Person

1 Samuel 26 8-12
Abishai said to David, “Today God has delivered your enemy into your hands. Now let me pin him to the ground with one thrust of the spear; I won’t strike him twice.”
But David said to Abishai, Don’t destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless?  As surely as the Lord lives,” he said, “the Lord himself will strike him, or his time will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish. But the Lord forbid that I should lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed. Now get the spear and water jug that are near his head, and let’s go.”
So David took the spear and water jug near Saul’s head, and they left. No one saw or knew about it, nor did anyone wake up. They were all sleeping, because the Lord had put them into a deep sleep.

This was the third time that David had the opportunity to kill Saul. He really did not want to, but Saul so consumed with jealousy could not help but pursue David. As you can see in these passages, David was the bigger man. Often times in our lives it seems very easy to confront and defeat our "enemies" verbally or vindictively in some form or fashion. It takes a bigger person to stay away from those tactics. We have to pray for wisdom and understanding. We have to know that God sees our hearts. And if our hearts are full of hate and bitterness we will never receive our blessing.

Only You God Can Make Me Happy

There are times in every one's life when they believe it takes a person or persons to make them happy. It is so common. We forget what it really takes. There shouldn't ever be a time when your heart, your day, or your life be solely based on another man, women or child. Yes, in our lives a person, place or thing does tend to make up our completeness. Ultimately it is GOD who has the power to move, change, or remove any of these things that are not conducive of  our well being. And when God is in the mix, you need nothing else.  It takes practice, and can present a challenge to alleviate dependency on other things. It is like going into rehab for a bad addiction to stop. When you get past it (the dependency on others and things) to make you happy, and you rely on God. Man Oh Man what a feeling. You are now practicing FAITH.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

They Say Wait On The Lord, He Has Your Back

It is a staple. It is the RULE if you will. "Wait on the lord." Your steps are ordered. The Lord is working behind the scenes, just wait and have faith. For so many, and this includes myself this hard to do. We find ourselves backed up against the wall on many occasion. It is hard not to pick up the burden we left for the Lord to handle. It takes will power. It takes prayer. It takes faith. And lastly it takes God's understanding and forgiveness to see us through. We can thank the Lord for this. We can thank Jesus for this. If it weren't for his death and rising we would not have a leg to stand on. So ask God to forgive you for your sins always. Ask God to remember his promises always. Be mindful of the enemy and his sneaky ways. The enemy loves it when you are stressed. He can fit right in the mix then. Pray him away. Give it to God.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

What Will You Say On That Day?

Many believe in the coming of the Lord again. That the messiah will return during the rapture and scoop up the good and righteous souls.
Revelation 16:15 Behold I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments lest he walk naked and they see his shame.
Revelation 19:16 And he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written KING OF KINGS LORD OF LORDS.
So the question remains. How would you know if Jesus returned without all of the bells and whistles? Would you know if he came in the form of a homeless person? How about a young child? You would not know. That is the point. Everyone is bracing for the seven seals opening. They are preparing for the horseman to arrive. Trumpets blowing loudly. The signs of 666 on the foreheads of the evil. Most admit not understanding what is written in Revelation which came from the vision that John had. It is uncertain when and how Jesus will come. Jesus and the angels may visit anytime. What will you say? How will you act? These are questions that should rewind over and over in your head. Life should be lead as if that day has come. Living the best that you can. Looking out for your fellow man. Understanding that selfish ill gotten ways are for fools. Always remember to thank God for giving his son up for our sins. These things should not go unspoken. Unconditional love should be at the top of the list always.

The Devil Is A Liar

Does our belief in God get compromised at all? Only if we let it. The enemy comes at us all the time. And always always does the outcome stay based on your faith. You may be tired and seem like you are whipped past submission but you are not. Not as long as you cry out to Jesus. Desperation is the enemy. It (desperation) makes you weak. It makes you reach out to everything and anything if you do not watch out. God is an almighty God. He can move mountains. He can make a way out of no way. Do not succumb to the smoke screen. I say this with all of my heart. God did not bring you all of this way for nothing. He knows your heart. Believe in him. Let his angels open the doors that you are knocking on. Ask for that hedge of protection. Know this: the more you do God's work, the more the enemy attacks.

Psalms 95: 1 O come let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation!

It Is So Different Now, But Is It?

It was customary in the ancient times that when a women was widowed she had to fend for herself unless a distant relative took the responsibility of taking the widow as his wife. Which meant that the husband inherited the dead husbands properties. The women widowed in those days could not inherit property unless the husband went against the grain and left it to her. There are two women who show strength and endurance during this very hard time for them. Naomi wife of Elimelech and Ruth the wife of Naomi and Elimelech's son Mahlon. Both husbands die, not at the same time of course. Naomi is old and cannot really take care of herself, but she tells her daughter in laws "go leave me, go find a man that will take care of you, you are still young." The one daughter in law leaves. But Ruth does not. She loves Naomi. She believes in her God and the ways of her people. For a long while they were in poverty taking what ever handouts they could get. They moved back to Naomi's hometown and Ruth started working in a wheat field collecting left over wheat that the regular harvesters missed. The land owner took on a new respect for this women who worked her fingers to the bone. She took a liking to him too. His name was Boaz and the rest is history if you know the story. My point is, women for a long time have been the back bone of a family. But a man is the provider or should be. The two must work together for the greater good of the family. We have to get back to that. The I,  Me, I don't need anyone is fine if you want that. It does not have to be. We as women need to train our young men to be gentle and kind. But allow a positive male show him how to be a man. To be a provider for his family. If times are hard there are still ways each can contribute to life's lessons without taking away from the family structure.

There Is Nothing Wrong With Humbleness

There are times when a humble response gains more. I love it when Solomon says many times in his books that wisdom is more precious then gold and silver combined. In fact that is what he asked for when presented the question by God.
I Kings 3: 8-15
Now, Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties.  Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.  So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.  Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for both wealth and honor so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.” Then Solomon awoke and he realized it had been a dream. This to me is the most profound thing a lowly man can ask for. It is so humble yet wise. We must take heed to do so today. There is so much to discern. There are so many wolves in sheep's clothing. I could not live my day without asking God for this important strength needed to get through the days and times that we live.

If Christ Himself Was Tempted By The Enemy, Why Not Us?

It is written that Satan tried his best during Jesus' weakest points to tempt him to rebuke God. That was pretty bold on his part(the devil). For him to have the actual gumption to tempt the son of God? Wow. So if the enemy was that brazen then, imagine his bag of tricks now? And we are just men and women. Nothing compared to Jesus. That is why we have to arm ourselves with everything we can. That includes protection of prayer. That includes asking God to put that hedge of protection around us at all times. Jesus died for our sins. He died with the shame and guilt we bestowed on him. All to allow us to go through him(Jesus) to be saved. We have to remember how important it is to cover ourselves in prayer, anointing, and the blood figuratively of course. That is our only salvation against an enemy as powerful and bold as Satan. Do not underestimate him at all.
Psalm 140: 1-8
Lord, rescue me from evil people; protect me from cruel people who make evil plans, who always start fights.  They make their tongues sharp as a snake's; their words are like snake poison. Selah  Lord, guard me from the power of wicked people; protect me from cruel people who plan to trip me up.  The proud hid a trap for me. They spread out a net beside the road; they set traps for me. Selah . I said to the Lord, "You are my God." Lord, listen to my prayer for help. Lord God, my mighty savior, you protect me in battle.  Lord, do not give the wicked what they want. Don't let their plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah

What Jesus Says To Look For In End Times

Matthew 24:4-23
And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you.  For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ. And they will seduce many.  And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass: but the end is not yet.  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And there shall be pestilences and famines and earthquakes in places.  Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.  And then shall many be scandalized and shall betray one another and shall hate one another.  And many false prophets shall rise and shall seduce many. And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold.  But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations: and then shall the consummation come.  When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand.  Then they that are in Judea, let them flee to the mountains:  And he that is on the housetop, let him not come down to take any thing out of his house:  And he that is in the field, let him not go back to take his coat.  And woe to them that are with child and that give suck in those days.  But pray that your flight be not in the winter or on the sabbath.  For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be.  And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.  Then if any man shall say to you, Lo here is Christ, or there: do not believe him. Do you see any familiarities in today's world?

Friend or Foe?

Sometimes the enemy has two, three or four faces. And the majority of the time the enemy uses someone very close to you to bring hurt and shame and sometimes guilt on you. Jesus died on the cross to save our souls. He took away the guilt and shame. It helps to thank God everyday for that. Because God truly did not have to send a son with human qualities. The bottom line is that satan and his crew are not your friends. They are God's contention. We have to remember to call on him to help us with this. It is a never ending battle.

Isaiah 40:26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

Who Moved My God?

It has been a couple years now since I read this little wonder of a book, called "Who moved my cheese?" Great book. The concept was based on an experiment that had mice going through a maze day after day retrieving the same cheese from the same route. And this went on for a long time. But one day the experimenters decided to move the cheese to see if the mice were smart enough to go the new route to find the cheese. And the book goes into a lot of theory as to why one or two mice went with the change and the others kept the same routine. Which had no cheese there. The reason I wanted to make this relevant is because our God will not allow you to remain in the same place looking for something that is not there. God moves you, sometime when you least expect it. And with God you are always fed the word.

Job 11:13-15 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear

Sibling Rivalry

When we look at the stories in the bible, there are a couple that really actuate the rivalry between siblings and the danger of it. I must say here, the enemy finds the weakest point in any relationship to inject his poison. You see this in the sons of Adam and Eve, Cain and Able. The brothers that were  jealous of their brother Joseph, they sold him into slavery. Some of  David's children acted out horrible things to one another. So you can see by these stories this behavior has been going on since biblical times. We have to teach each one of our children that each of them bring something to the family table. And that if that value is missing or one is not being themselves because of constant bickering and fighting, it leaves a gap in the family unit and makes it weak and wide open for the devil to have a playground full of players. Build each member of your family up. Do not draw comparisons to them. "Well your brother does it this way, why can't you?" Horrible to do. And pray the mother or father's prayer that the heart heals if things do happen. A child must grow with confidence and trust. These qualities can sometimes be missed. We have a God of second chances we have to ask him for forgiveness and forgive ourselves and move on. Jesus died erasing the guilt and shame of any circumstance.
Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

Facing The Lions Den

When Daniel was thrown in the lions den. The King and his croanies thought for sure Daniel would be eaten by the lions. Little did they know, that God had his hands on Daniel. God knew what was in Daniels heart. He knew that Daniel spoke good of God and of the common person. Daniel stood for truth. He would not bend.  The point to be made is this. Never compromise your belief in God ever.

At sundown, they threw Daniel into the den of lions. The king could not eat or sleep all night. At dawn he ran to the lions' den and asked Daniel if his God had protected him. Daniel replied,
Daniel 6:22-24 "My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king. Scripture says the king was overjoyed. Daniel was brought out, unharmed, "...because he had trusted in his God."
King Darius had the men arrested who falsely accused Daniel, and along with their wives and children, they were all thrown into the lions' den, where they were immediately killed by the beasts.
Then the king issued another decree, ordering the people to fear and reverence the God of Daniel. Daniel prospered under the reign of Darius and King Cyrus the Persian after him.

The Connection

In our day to day struggles our minds are constantly discerning and deciphering messages, images, anything that our oracles take in. The nice thing about us is that our brains if healthy can understand the connections. Spiritually this same option is available. We don't practice it as much. Therefore  an added request like a prayer will give that boost, to make that spiritual connection.

Dear God I know that you watch over me sometimes more then I watch over myself. As a matter of fact you do watch over me more then I do myself. So if I could I would like to ask something of you. Could you please provide me with spiritual discernment so that I can tell what is truth and what isn't? Could you help me with wisdom and understanding? Because I know the value of these three things are more precious then gold and silver. And Lastly God will you forgive me of my sins? I am far from perfect as hard as I try I know I fail, so help me there as well. Thank you God. Please note that I am still praying as this writing ceases because I have a whole lot of prayer connections I must make. (smile). God you know my heart. Need I say more

Lessons Are Learned Everyday If You Are Open

I often wonder why it seems people get stuck in time. They seem to get caught up in a time long ago or a time yesterday or last week. These souls  never seem to  stay in the present. The truth is the enemy always keeps his constituents there, in the past. That is because he has no idea what God has in store for them. The devil can only delve in the past. God is a God of the future. Your past has already been forgiven by the death of Jesus. Guilt and shame died on the cross. It is very hard for some to remember that. And then there are those that are just lost. And the lessons learned along the way actually faded away or were never picked up.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.

Do Not Be Discouraged Or Disappointed

There was a time when God was both discouraged and disappointed in his creation. I mean think of how many times we have been disappointed in someone. Especially those closest to us. Over the years and this is due in part to me making mistake after mistake. I learned not to set any expectations. This takes practice and patience. That's what God had to do as well. God however put an iron clad guarantee in place to insure that we would be forgiven, saved, and not a disappointment to him ever again. Through Jesus all things are possible. So the next time you find yourself in an upsetting situation remember that the person or persons that you are disappointed in are going about their lives without it bothering them at all. Let it go. Give it to God and keep it moving.

                                                        Chronicles 16:11
Let your search be for the Lord and for his strength; let your hearts ever be turned to him.

It Can Be Very Simply Put

Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this:God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.

The thing to remember is to call on him not just when you need something. Call on him so he can hear your praises, when things are going well. Thank God humbly for that. Life is very complicated. And we are fools if we think man is in control. Pray for wisdom and understanding. God is not a God of confusion. If there is that (confusion) you know that you are in the presence  of the enemy.

Praise God Always

It is so easy to get caught up in day to day activity. When in reality we should really truly take a look around us. And know with all of the really bad things that go on around us, we are still able to function. There are so many that take what they have as something they are entitled to. No it is not. We should approach life in a very humble manner. We should give God the glory for waking us up each morning. We should thank God for the ultimate sacrifice he made in that his only son was killed and suffered greatly for us to live. We should fear God because he can do so many things. We should give from our hearts always because God does that very thing for us everyday. We should refrain from passing judgement on anyone. Because in the end we will be judged and God will be fair about that.

Isaiah 25:1-4
O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Song Was The Norm

In the days of the ancients one thing that was very common and not discussed very much today. Almost everyone who believed that there was a God sang praises and hymns to him. There was no Bible, No Koran, nothing written like it is today. Song was always the way a family or person worshiped the Lord. The high priest of course had scrolls and such that they were privied to. But the common man and women had nothing like that. It was faith and word of mouth. In later text you see that David has a whole book devoted to Psalms which he sang as he played his musical instrument. These songs were scribed by some one who witnessed this normal way of life.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

A Word In Due Season

Proverbs 15:7,17
The Lips of the wise disperse knowledge. But the heart of a fool does not do so.
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a fatted calf with hatred.

In life haters are going to be haters no matter what. You can tell them watch out your going to get splashed by that car. They are so blinded by hate they would not heed the warning that you are giving them. Believe it or not if they moved or didn't move they are going to remain hating because of a hardened heart. You have to remember you did not make that heart hard. So do not accept responsibility for it. Deflect that responsibility and just pray for them. They need God. Then there is the hater that sucks you in. Come on over for dinner, we are having fillet Mignon, some Portabello mushrooms and the best wine this side of Napa Valley. The dinner is not from the heart. A hater is just that, a hater. They will boast and brag and talk about your shoes soon as you turn your back. Turn the dinner down, have some pizza and salad with some true friends who really love you. You cannot change a person. They are going to have to want to change. And that involves giving up self.

No Our Spirit Cannot Won't Be Broken

If this world were meant to be totally destroyed and void of all life, it would have been done so long, long ago. God provided us with choice. He provided us with survival skills. And when choice was provided he gave man the opportunity to do the right thing or fall into the hands of the enemy. Which many have done. As bad as it has become, in the world that we live in today, as long as we have GOD there is no question that our spirit will remain intact. Those that find salvation in the word. Those that do not let the fires of the world destroy them. Those that remain in faith will most undoubtedly survive the the struggles. You see we do not have any insight to what God has planned for us. Believe it or not it is better that we don't know. We would ruin the plan.

Jeremiah 29:11“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

History Is Repeating Itself

More and more there seems to be an ever increasing divide between the  Rich and the Poor. The middle income  people are being squeezed into poverty. It so reminds me of ancient times. The Rich Romans and Greeks as opposed to the Poor working class slaves. There was no middle class then either.  God had to intercede. God could not stand by and let the ruling rich take over his world. He sent Jesus in the form of a man, so that he would be excepted. Jesus had a dangerous and very important mission. He had to prove to the people that the little person meant something. That what ever was last ended up being first. He had to preach acceptance as equals was truly the way it should be. He pointed out the flaws of the "religion " of the day. Jesus also let everyone know that he came in contact with that he was the way, the truth and the light.  In our times today we really need to examine our ways. There is something fundamentally wrong with a society treating people with out any care, compassion, as if they were expendable. God does not like ugly. When this very thing happened according to many written text, the world was destroyed. We must stay in the word, understand that there will be a second coming of Christ. Who will take with him the clean of heart.
Revelation 1:8 am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty

To Know God Is To Love & Fear Him

In many a verse. Many a chapter God has shown us what grace is. God has shown us what belief and faith is. The God that I know constantly forgives and loves unconditionally. Why is it so difficult for man to take heed? I believe God gave us choice to do the right thing or not. And the enemy knows this. God gave his only son to save us all. If we still get it wrong after that, well the chips have to fall where they may.
Romans 4:15-17 For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression. That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”— in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.

Some Still Have Questions

When there is a loved one taken away suddenly, it doesn't make sense at all to some. If they had faith they certainly question it and God. Some offer themselves instead. Some renounce God and Jesus. Some go into a deep depression. Some even go as far as killing themselves. We do not know why loved ones leave us unexpectedly or not.We do have to be in good grace with God to get through death and destruction, in order to cope. God gave us emotions to feel. Those feelings can be hurt and pain. In looking at the Bible you see many a righteous man and woman being tested. Their belief in God and God in them kept them from breaking. It doesn't explain or justify the death of some. But God knows what it takes to get through it. And the deaths that seem unjustified? God's got those too.
What ever it takes we have to trust him.

Romans12:19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

The Revelation

Revelation 5:1-5 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Keep It Simple

Praying for example does not have to be long and complicated. When it comes to loving someone it does not have to be complicated. When it comes to God his love for us is so unconditionally and very simple. Not complicated at all.
 Proverbs 1:10-15
When wisdom enter into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul.
Discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you.  To deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaks ugly things; Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;  Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the ugly ways of the wicked;  Whose ways are crooked, and they most evil in their paths.

The Role Of A Father

With so many things going wrong in the world you have to wonder how God our "father" looks at us. He tried so many times to give his creation all that they needed to survive, we seemed to turn away and totally disrespect our father. In more then one chapter, in more then one verse, it is repeated throughout the bible. We shunned God. Of course he got angry on so many occasions, however like most fathers, he found a soft spot in his heart to forgive us. His (Gods) ultimate sacrifice was giving up his own son to save his creation(mankind). We can definitely take note here. Unconditional love does just that. Loves with no conditions. Yes, there is disappointment. Yes, there are emotions ranging from hurt and pain to shrugging it off. But we have to remember that unconditional love reins supreme.

1 John 4:8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Just When I Thought I Had Done Something To Deserve This

God always, always knows what is ahead for us. We need to believe and trust in him. Stay faithful. However, when life throws you curve ball after curve ball and it seems harder then ever to trudge up that mountain of heartache and pain. And to know that God will bring blessings your way.  When this happens (the blessings)you cannot help but drop to your knees and say thank you. What I think happens the majority of the time, is people give up. They stop praying everyday. They get bitter because it is hard. They start questioning their faith and question God. It is hard to say to those who are not grounded that it will be okay. It is hard to testify from your own experience to the doubters, for them  to just hold on. When it gets tough there are lessons to be learned believe it or not. And it is the small things that matter. For example: There was a lady middle age I would say asking people at the bus stop or walking by, for 50 cents to catch the bus. Most who passed by said no they did not have it. After a minute or two I dug very deep in my purse, I did not have much but I gave her what I did have. She was very appreciative. She got on the bus and went on her way. I tell this story because, it shows you that small things matter and although I really did not have much at all to spare, I was willing to give what I had unconditionally, not judging the lady at all because I knew in my heart what ever I gave God saw how I really felt. I was just trying to help. That is all he wants to see. And with him seeing where your heart is, doors open, mountains move and before you know it those hard times are behind you.

Philippians 4:12-13 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
