It's Actutally A Matter Of What We Will Give Up

Sometimes in life you literally have to sleep on it to wake up with the true understanding of what is happening. If you ponder too hard in the negative, you miss the point entirely.
Suppose you were accustomed to having a roof over your head? Food in your refrigerator, and cupboards. Clothes, a car, a job. All the creature things of life. And one day or shall I say progressively these things fade away. You were reduced to nothing. You did not have soap to wash with. You had no running water. You had to walk to where ever you were going. You were forced to infringe on someone else's space. You hang your head in despair. Your first reaction is to blame something or someone. You begin to wish and hope on a prayer that this all would turn around soon. Then you ask God why? You contemplate the answers. You ask God what is the lesson here? What is it that you want me to see? What can I learn from this? After many days, months sometimes years, the answer appears to you. And that answer is like that of no one else. It is the answer meant for you and only you. It is however, something that you have read before. Been told before. Seen before. It is confirmed for you right before your eyes. And never again will you look at these things the same. You find your purpose and you cast aside these "things" and their value. You put your value in God. He is your provider, but one must give up self and all things surrounding self to know God almighty in his purity. Amen!
Philippians 3:7-8 But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.
