Changing Times

It seems that history tends to repeat itself, more often then none. It is the elders of  generations that pass on the lore, legacies and traditions of the family. In our time however, there seems to be a disregard for our older generation. No longer is it normal to care for the elderly. Many rely on institutions or someone else other then themselves. It is relevant to say there are still some who have been taught well and are responsible. To know that a family member was at one time as young and vigorous as anyone. That there is a history there. A fascinating one if one took time to see or listen. Once a person gets grey with age. Or sick from frailness and disease, it does not mean that person has lost value. It simply means the body is preparing to leave this earth. It is up to us to have that person leave this earth with the dignity that they deserve.

Leviticus 19:32
You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man {and women}, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.
