A Wing And A Prayer

We go through our lives accustomed to dates, times, deadlines, mandatory demands. It seems that we are burdened with all of this Stuff!
John 2:15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
Matthew 21:12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.
As one studies the above verses you get the notion that Money, and Religious practice had crossed lines. What was acceptable to the rich and greedy became acceptable to the religious hierarchy. The temple of God was being compromised.  It was okay to use the temple of God in this manor according to the clergy of the day. Jesus made it known that Gods temple(which figuratively speaking is you)cannot be trashed, disrespected with greed and money.  We cannot go through life wishing and hoping for this thing and that thing. We have to have faith that God will see us through. Know it, walk it, talk it, breath it. FAITH. No longer do you have to go through life on a wing and a prayer if you have God in your life always and not just at your convenience.

It's Really Transparent

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.  Therefore do not be partners with them.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light  (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)  and find out what pleases the Lord.  Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.  It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.  But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.  This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,
    rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.  Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,  speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,  always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

His Mercy Endures Forever

As we go through our daily lives some of us get desensitizes to our surroundings. The birds may be singing in the morning with beautiful song. But because of the rush rush in the world some may miss the beauty of hearing it. Some may not notice how lovely the flowers are in bloom, the lemons, oranges and grapefruits hanging from the neighbors trees. Some may be so busy, they do not notice the man or woman going through the trash cans in the ally for something to eat or collecting the plastic bottles to turn in for the little change one gets just to eat or drink. The time may past so fast some may forget to tell a loved one that they love them and could not do without them. Yes, there are many who do not take the time to smell the roses. God always makes time for each and every one of us.

Psalms 100

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

You Are Never Defeated

God can do all things. The devil is a liar. Ask and it shall be given, knock and the door shall be opened. All of these things are part of a verse. Some most remember others have to look up. It is not so important that you remember every line, every verse. God sees your heart. When evil approaches you speak what you know and the devil has to flee. Keep your bible handy. And know that you are never defeated when you have God on your side.

1 Chronicles 16:11  Seek the LORD and his strength;  seek his presence continually!

For Thine Is The Kingdom

Matthew 6:13 For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. The book of Matthew has it's origins from many ancient text dating back as far as the first century. This book is considered the first book written of Jesus and his disciples ventures. And many verses such as this one are part of a bigger prayer. This one happens to be the end of the Lords prayer. What is distinctive about this verse is its conclusion and reference to Jesus and the three things that he represents. The kingdom of God. The power of God. The Glory of God. In those days God, the one and only was believed among few. The Jewish people. When Jesus came he had to teach and show everyone the power of God. And show that through him everyone has the ability to experience all three of these things. That no longer is it a practice for the elite. This caught heavy resistance as we know.

Having Been Misjudged

It takes a little time, some forgiveness, and swallowing of some pride to admit having to have misjudged someone. After spending time together and each person can see that the other isn't so bad after all, things work out. But how these misguided feelings began is usually fueled by a person or persons who are negative and defensive. It is very very easy to get caught up in this. Especially if your agenda is not anchored in the Lord. Once the smoke is cleared away and the damage rectified, God opens up a new chapter. As wisdom and understanding become more prominent in our lives, better and clearer decisions are made. First we must really think for ourselves. Secondly it doesn't hurt to relax a bit. Think things out.  Follow your instinct, that is what God gave it to you for.

Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Be Aware Of The Person With Two Lives

We see it on the news all of the time. The nice person two doors down does something utterly frightening. Something out of the ordinary. Something we never would have thought they would do. These people have a cloak of silence. An underlying current that they choose to keep away from everyone. Nothing good comes from the dark. Nothing. The key to an association with a being of this nature is to stay in prayer with God. Pray for them anyway. God gives some of us a sixth sense. That gut feeling that something is amiss. And often times when the dark comes to light. We think back on those peculiar days. A lot of times the evil is so crafty you will never feel or sense anything wrong. One law of nature is that the dark always presents itself to the light sooner or later. Stay strong in believing your strength comes from the most high God. That you stay on the path of righteousness.

Psalm 140
Lord, rescue me from evil people; protect me from cruel people who make evil plans, who always start fights. They make their tongues sharp as a snake's; their words are like snake poison. Lord, guard me from the power of wicked people; protect me from cruel people who plan to trip me up. The proud hid a trap for me. They spread out a net beside the road; they set traps for me. I said to the Lord, "You are my God." Lord, listen to my prayer for help. Lord God, my mighty savior, you protect me in battle. Lord, do not give the wicked what they want. Don't let their plans succeed, or they will become proud.  Those around me have planned trouble. Now let it come to them. Let burning coals fall on them. Throw them into the fire or into pits from which they cannot escape.  Don't let liars settle in the land. Let evil quickly hunt down cruel people.  I know the Lord will get justice for the poor and will defend the needy in court.  Good people will praise his name; honest people will live in his presence.

Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You

When we are young and coming into our own very rarely does one think about getting old. Not much thought goes into being elderly. Yes, some have been told or taught how to save money. So that one is able to live comfortably when retirement comes.
But to actually sit down and really really think the "what if scenarios".
What if your career had you caring for babies who's mothers abandoned them in the hospital? What if all of your life you cared about someone else, who had issues (drinking, drugs, running the streets)? What if you had to move over and over again with those same babies that you end up adopting? What if you had to rely on someone else to go everywhere because you never learned to drive? What if you learned that you had a debilitating disease that would prevent you from walking, standing and you were bed ridden at a fairly early age in life? What if you had to depend on these same babies that you raised to take care of you, feed you, bath you, clothe you? But these children, now grown had their own issues which begin to seep through the cracks. You are helpless, having to depend on someone else for your every need. No thinking on these things at that young age is not common. But when you have grown older, hopefully wiser and are able to do for others, think about that person, it could be you.

Luke 6:31 Do unto others as you would have them do unto to you.

These Are The Best Of Times These Are The Worst Of Times

This passage pretty much sums it up. We were nothing before the wisdom of God. We took total advantage of God's kindness. He forgave us for the umteenth time with the life of his only son. And for those in doubt. It had to come this way. Meaning God's son had to come in human form. He had to live and breath as a man. He had to die like a man. To redeem our souls. It is so simple, sad and true. The bible verse below was a speech Paul gave to the people of Corinth, a town similar to some now. Money, power, greed. And of course they (the people) thought they were the smartest and wisest of them all. A Greek, Jewish, simple man and women town.

1Corinthians 1:2-30

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him. God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.  Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom. But we(the people teaching after Christ) preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles. To those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.  But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.  God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are,  so that no one may boast before him.  It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption

Am I Worthy?

It is so funny that this question is still asked. Am I worthy? The answer is a bellowing YES! None of the past leaders, writers, prayer warriors in the Bible, which is our eye's view of those times, were ever the pure clean angels walking this earth. They were not walking around with a pristine presence. Jesus was sent for the regular man and women. He wanted the hypocritical holy ones to know with  loud and resounding confirmation that people all of them are accepted before God. That through Christ the sin of man is forgiven. So worthiness is an automatic. No doubt. No questions. Come to God humbly and just like you are. No dressing up. No rituals. None of which is a requirement in our Fathers eyes.
Ephesians 2:4-9 God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved  and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.  For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,  not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Plots, Coups, And Deception

The world we live in has many unsavory aspects lurking about. Those that walk with the mighty spirit of God avoid these things because we believe in him(God). Because we walk in faith. Throughout the Bible you read about the strife of the people. You read about Kings hell bent on finding and killing their enemies. You see giants getting slayed. You see whole civilizations wiped out. You see Jesus being killed.Yes, plots, coups and deception have been going on since the beginning of time. It would be ideal if the impoverished, the down trodden, the sick, the suffering did not have to fight to exist. That this all would be abolished. It is not so. We really have to see through these things. We must walk in the light. We must praise and thank God that he is in our lives. We must continue to give from our hearts. We must continue in a world so messy, all knowing that with faith when our time ends, we have done all that God has asked us to do.

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

That Misguided Spirit

It is said in the Bible Matthew 24:5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many.
There are so many out there who have their own agendas. Which causes many of us to have to weed through the mire  just to get some meaning. Some spirituality. Some peace, wisdom and understanding. But the whole of what God wants us to know, does not take a television evangelist. It does not take a Priest, Bishop, or Rabbi. It simply takes a truly honest spiritual one on one with God. Humble is your approach. Loving kindness is God's response. One may chose any of the above as a supportive measure, yes. But God has no required pomp and circumstance to get to know him. It is of your free will that you come to him. Jesus died for the sin of mankind. Because we are going to fall short. But that's where it stands.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. That is it. Simple

Be Assured The Wicked Will Not Go Unpunished

It is the norm in today's society to want what the rich have. There are many who go around "wishing if only I had his or her million I would do....."
Proverbs 11: 28 Those who trust in their riches will wither, but the righteous will flourish like green leaves.
Proverbs 12:2-3 The good obtain favor from the Lord but those who devise evil he condemns. No one finds security by wickedness, but the root of the righteous will never be moved.
These words of wisdom written by one of the wisest men ever, really speaks to the soul. The soul has to be open to wisdom and understanding to receive. We cannot go around in life wishing for what somebody else has. Because what they are showing on the outside may not reflect the pain and misery going on in the inside. Be careful what you wish for. It is hard to be steadfast in believing this. The devil gets the best of those who are weakened. Those who have been unjustly served. It is not easy when strife and misery are there among you and your loved ones. Hang on. Do not succumb to the worlds silver and gold.  Pick up that sword(the Bible), turn to the book of Proverbs and just read. You will come away with wisdom. Seek God. Ask him anything. He hears you. But you must maintain a giving heart and spirit. You must release the past (the devil only deals in that). Soften that hardened heart. Love thy self, so that you can love others. Simple. But not so for many.
Do not envy: A picture paints 1000 words

Do You Wear The World On Your Sleeve?

It is really quite easy to walk around with an attitude(of negativity). Because frankly the world on the most part has some very displeased, angry people in it. And these people have been placed in position for all the world to see and the weak to emulate.
This is where the God in all of us comes out. When your senses are overloaded with media negativity. With personal negativity. With outside negativity. Look up. Remember our God is not a negative God. The only one who provides these type of stimuli comes from a place so low you can walk right on top of it. You do not have to reach far for this place. Hell is within reach. Do not succumb to the smoke screens. That cat wants to see us fail. Oh yes. But we cannot.

2 Samuel 22: 32-37
For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the rock except our God?  It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He( God) makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.  He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. God you give me your shield of victory; you stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn.

Is There An Application For That?

In our fast paced world many look for the immediate at you finger tip response. The question arises on occasion, "is there an app for that?" A function provided by a data company that makes pertinent information quickly attainable. Imagine the attainability of  God in that fashion. Your smart phone would have immediate accessibility to God. By just pressing a button. No thinking, no praying, no faith. It would not work. God needs a direct spiritual relationship with you. And you God. Much would be lost in an App.The whole meaning behind spirituality would fall by the wayside. All things God would be superficial. Manufactured not real. If man is not careful this very thing could happen. Praying can't have the same meaning coming from a machine. Spiritual guidance can't be programmed. No these things have to be real and not made to be artificial. Do not lose sight with which God has made for us. Worship him, praise him, thank him, do for others as you would have them do for you. Love. No machine or App can do any of those things.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Blind Faith

As life comes into this world, it (life) becomes of this world. Spirituality is learned or so it seems. The concept of faith is not learned, taught or manufactured IE computer programs, or in software applications. No, faith is something you have. An all knowing. An all trusting. The power of non-swaymanship. It is not enough to believe in a higher power. It is knowing that that higher power would never let you down. That your path walked is for a reason and God has not brought you this far to leave you. Stop questioning why this, why that. Study your place. Exist in it. Change it if need be. Live your life with the knowledge that it(your life) is meant to intertwine with others and that it is a giving one. The minute, selfishness, pride, greed, vanity and the rest come into the picture, it is time to clear the files. We are human, which is no excuse. We have been "pardoned" if you will by God because we are weak and we will fail. Sacrifice, Love of, self for and to others is our redemption. Faith in God is all we need to proceed.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that come to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If You Are Within The Sound Of Thunder Lightening Is Sure To Follow

If you have ever seen or heard the power of lightening you develop a deeper respect for the power of mother nature. The spiritual essence is as powerful. Thunder being the voice of God. Lightening being an instrument of God. God has a mighty presence on this earth. It is everywhere. Loving and respecting this is vital for our existence.
Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

My Soul Says Yes

The older we get the wiser we are supposed to become. That is the standard way of thinking. However life's bumps and bruises can produce such different outcomes. Some learn from these moments. Some run from these moments. Some face these moments with soul cleansing. With bravery beyond normal limits. When one is faced with illness, with death, with struggle. The only choice to keep you alive and well is to face the challenge. But not alone. The aloneness will drive you insane. No our spiritual side has to kick in. Belief that there is a higher power. Belief that when you are at your lowest, you is not who will get you through. The Soul is the survivor. The soul goes into survival mode. God feeds the soul. God is anchored there. Calling on him in your time of need is what should take place. Waiting on the result is called faith.
Luke 21:34-36 But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap.  For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.  But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Giving Thanks In The Morning

We did not have to rise today. But we did. We do not have to have the things that we have. But we do. We can be bitter and show hatred to one another. But we don't. We can use our energy for destruction and strife but we chose not to. Each time your choice is on the side of goodness. You are walking in the light. You are obeying God. Stick with the right choices. Do not go astray.

Psalm 90:14

In the morning give us your mercy in full measure; so that we may have joy and delight all our days."

Grace To You And Peace From God

What is formal training when it comes to God? There is none. When God has his hands on you. He is revealed the way he intends to be revealed to you. Unique and befitting just for you. You can "teach" the mechanics of the Bible. But you can't teach what it is to know God. Your experience is not the same as anyone else's. God hand picked you for who you are. For where you have been. And for where he intends for you to go. There are no other choices. God has provided. Jesus took the sin and shame away. Once God has made his presence known. Acknowledge it. And praise and thank him for the blessings. It is really simple. All the ceremony that the world looks to is just that ceremony. It is not a requirement to have pomp and circumstance to pray to or to have a one on one relationship with God.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?

The War Is Both Spiritual And Physical

Imagine if there was no rest time. No time to rejuvenate. God gave us a rest period. This time allows our bodies and mind to replenish what has been taken away during our waking hours. We have to metaphysically repair. We have to spiritually feed. If we do not our body our mind and our soul dies. We walk amongst the weakest of weak. We walk among the evilest of evil. Our walk isn't a walk in the park. We as Gods children catch "hell". The thing to remember is God is always there. That there may be lessons along the way. That if we stay in prayer, confess our weaknesses our sins. Repent! Ask for forgiveness. Remain humble. We will get that spiritual guidance. Our paths will be lit to see where we need to go. Our burdens are not ours to bear. But you have to remember who and what God is always. Not only must you be emerged in faith, the spirit, the glory but you literally have to wear it like it was your clothing. Give God the praise, morning, noon and night. He hears you.

A Prayer For Strength
In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Dear Lord, see me through these hard times. In these troubling times, I am filled with unspeakable fears. I reach out my hand to you now, And ask you to walk besides me. I cannot carry all my burdens, But I know you can, and will. Please walk beside me. Please guide me. Please help me hold on strong, Through the trials and storms. Help me hold on to my faith, In even the darkest hour. Stay with me Lord, And show me Your way. In your love and Holy Spirit I abide. Amen.

The Heart Of The Righteous Studies How To Answer

I John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Has there been a time in your life when you have asked God for help? You have done all the "praying" that you could. Your answer just does not seem to be there. You're feeling a void. This is the time that God is allowing you to study. Study yourself from the inside out. Is there garbage still tucked away? Is there someone you need to apologize to? Is there someone you need to forgive? Is it time to give a person or persons up and turn them loose? Yes, it is study time. God's blessings are there always. At those times when it seems you are all alone, you are. And for good reason. God wants you to have faith in him and him only. While there is silence you best believe God is working behind those scenes, moving stuff. So do not get disillusioned. Continue to lift God up. Give him praise for the good the bad and the ugly. He loves us unconditionally. It is time that we do the same.

Disillusioned Because of Smoke Screens

It takes a tremendous amount of faith to see through all of the things that are presently before you. One of the anchoring thoughts that should flash back every time the panic button goes off is: God would not have brought me this far to leave me. It is hard. Yes, there are some learning experiences along the way. Something inside of you may have to be resolved or changed. The same lesson may appear until this happens. It is just so so hard to see these things unless you pause. Stop. Listen for the whisper. Hear it in a song. See it unfold before your very eyes. That is when you know God is working. He is behind you. Call out to him. Praise him. Thank him. And know that Jesus died for your sins. Shame should not be in the picture if it is it is a smoke screen. Envy should be nowhere in sight. That too is an enemies fiery dart. Disappointment, fear, anger all part of the disillusion. Trust, faith, joy, laughter, charity, kindness, heart. All descriptions of Gods world.
Psalm 7:14 Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.

I Am

John 8:57-59 You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”
“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

It is said throughout the Bible Jesus on more then one occasion had to run for his life. Simply because the hypocrites and men in the "church" did not believe he to be the son of man. And that if he was all that he said he was he had to prove himself. But the most telling thing is when they asked him questions, with the intent on trapping him or making him out to be a liar. Jesus always made each question posed into a teaching moment. The more they questioned the more they were made to look stupid. The more the people began to believe in God. The more people accepted themselves as worthy of heaven. Understanding was slow but it caught on more so in the days after Christ. To this day Christians know that they have to accept Jesus as their lord and savior in order to know God. In order to be forgiven of sin. In order to get into heaven.

The Flesh

Don't get it twisted, God could have programed man to be procreative without giving him or her physical feelings, or emotion. Or any of the rituals that follow leading to the life  breathed into generations to come. We did not have to have eyes to see a temptation be it  male or female. We did not have to size someone up, deciding weather or not he or she would be a good "catch". God did not have to give us the power to do any of it. But he did. We have choices. Our metaphysical being seeks someone whose chemistry is attracted to ours. It is really not as complicated as it seems. The complication comes after the physical  becomes a continued thing. Our brains began to think how can we keep this same metaphysical thing going. And so it begins.

1 Corinthians 7:2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality. Nor thieves, or the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Deep Reflection

The times in our lives that we remember most are either filled with joy or filled with tragedy. Both take deep reflection. Both remain tied to our souls. Both take a chunk out of our hearts. It is up to us and our relationship with self and with God to put each in its perspective place. We can turn all experiences into learning lessons, treasured memories, or chose to forget them altogether. God created us in his image. That means he feels as we do.

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

Psalms 63:5-7 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy

Respect, Loyalty, To Our Father

It is said that one must give respect where respect is due. To God much respect is due. Many thanks are due. It is a blessing to live and breath on an earth that he created. We did not have to exist. And many times he over came the hurt that we as mankind bestowed upon him. The pain that a father would feel if his son or daughter disrespected him. As a father or mother you give to your child all the best that you could give. You do not want to see them want for anything. Lessons are learned by us as parents, from giving without instruction. Without exposing the consequences it is hard for a child to learn. Perhaps giving too much without one earning sets our children up to fail. God learned this lesson. He had to send a  teacher in the form of man. A rebel with a cause. A guide. The messiah, to show mankind what it is to respect God our father.

Romans 1:20-22 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.  For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools

In Him We Were Chosen

Many of us walk around with an entitled sense of being. We think that we are in control of everything. There are some who (especially if they are not a child of God) who think they control Gods realms. Life, Death, Sickness etc. Here's the real unadulterated truth. Man does not control anything but himself. If you are of God your belief system does not allow such vanity. Not even when it comes to your spiritual self and well being. God chose you. Bottom line. It is not the other way around. No!

Ephesians 1: 4-14

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love God predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.To the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the those that he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. God lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding. God made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ. To be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment. To bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will. In order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit. Who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession. To the praise of his glory.

Looking Into The Mirror What Do You See?

Looking and reflecting on ones life takes some below the surface reaching. The deeper you go the more you may not want to see that image that you would face if you were to look into the mirror. Sometimes those layers can be filled with so much pain you would rather not deal with it at all. Therefore it is buried and never dealt with. The sad part about this is that it is tearing your insides out. It is a sore still festering. It never heals. There are salves and bandages we can put on bodily scrapes in order to protect the wound while it heals. However as our elders say "that wound needs some air". The air dries up the moisture and a natural scar forms. It eventually falls off and you may be left with a mark barely visible. The same theory is relevent for the wounds inside. They need air to begin the healing process.

Psalm 147:3
God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

That They May Know You

Psalm 83:18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD-- that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Our lives are intertwined and torn between the tangible and spiritual worlds. Most are very comfortable with what they see. What they touch, taste and smell. When it comes to the soul. Faith has to take over. What is life without faith? Nothing. The walking breathing unclean spirit roaming free without the covenant of God. Seduced by the fallen angel and his party. Whoa to the saved soul. The lost who come back to the fold. And yes, there are many who return. They were lost but now they are found. For those who have the God spirit within, need to understand we are the worst and the most sought after by the enemy. If we did not have faith. If we did not praise and thank God. If we did not call on the angels. We would be like the Sadducees and Pharisees running naked through the city demon possessed.
We of course fall down. God has accepted that we do. Our recourse, however is Jesus. Calling on him. Thanking God for allowing him to die for us. We owe our lives to them both~ Amen.
