Matthew 6:13 For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. The book of Matthew has it's origins from many ancient text dating back as far as the first century. This book is considered the first book written of Jesus and his disciples ventures. And many verses such as this one are part of a bigger prayer. This one happens to be the end of the Lords prayer. What is distinctive about this verse is its conclusion and reference to Jesus and the three things that he represents. The kingdom of God. The power of God. The Glory of God. In those days God, the one and only was believed among few. The Jewish people. When Jesus came he had to teach and show everyone the power of God. And show that through him everyone has the ability to experience all three of these things. That no longer is it a practice for the elite. This caught heavy resistance as we know.
