How many of us have eaten one too many candy bars? How many of us have looked at something online we should not be looking at? How many of us have taken that second glance at a passerby knowing good and well we shouldn't have? How many of us have taken a bite of the proverbial forbidden fruit? If there is someone within the reach of this blog who has not. Or is in denial. Prayers go out to you. We are human beings. We fall from grace everyday. The "church" leaders of today are up against tremendous pressure to stay in good graces of God and their congregations. But they are human too. They all fall short. We are to do our very best to avoid pitfalls. Avoid doing the wrong thing according to the laws of God. However, when we fail, by confessing our sins. Repenting. Asking for forgiveness, it paves our way to Gods heart. Jesus died for our sins, our guilt, our shame. It is through him that we are saved. No, we are not to purposely go out and create havoc, do the wrong thing. The credibility lies in us doing the right thing in Gods eyes.
Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
