Sometimes God Has To Speak For Himself

There are times when you have to be silent and simply listen. No input. Just be still. Nothing to be said. Just be encouraged by the word of God, plain and simple as that.

Proverbs 16:1-9

To humans belong the plans of the heart,
    but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.
All a person’s ways seem pure to them,
    but motives are weighed by the Lord.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
    and he will establish your plans.
The Lord works out everything to its proper end
    even the wicked for a day of disaster.
The Lord detests all the proud of heart.
    Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for;
    through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided.
When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way,
    he causes their enemies to make peace with them.
Better a little with righteousness
    than much gain with injustice.
In their hearts humans plan their course,
    but the Lord establishes their steps

The Bible never ceases to amaze me. It is so very enlightening to see that people were and still remain to this day people. It is comforting to know that the same trials and tribulations are experienced by those who lived centuries ago. No where is it more apparent then reading the poetry and song of King David and his musician Asaph. Read into the text of the following Psalm(Song). Note the similarities of the questions asked. And the answers that come after.

Psalms 73

Surely God is good to Israel,
to those who are pure in heart.
But as for me, my feet had almost slipped;
I had nearly lost my foothold.
For I envied the arrogant
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
They have no struggles;
their bodies are healthy and strong.a
They are free from common human burdens;
they are not plagued by human ills.
Therefore pride is their necklace;
they clothe themselves with violence.
From their callous hearts comes iniquity ;
their evil imaginations have no limits.
They scoff, and speak with malice;
with arrogance they threaten oppression.
Their mouths lay claim to heaven,
and their tongues take possession of the earth.
Therefore their people turn to them
and drink up waters in abundance.
They say, “How would God know?
Does the Most High know anything?”
This is what the wicked are like
always free of care, they go on amassing wealth.
Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure
and have washed my hands in innocence.
All day long I have been afflicted,
and every morning brings new punishments.
If I had spoken out like that,
I would have betrayed your children.
When I tried to understand all this,
it troubled me deeply
till I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood their final destiny.
Surely you place them on slippery ground;
you cast them down to ruin.
How suddenly are they destroyed,
completely swept away by terrors!
They are like a dream when one awakes;
when you arise, Lord,
you will despise them as fantasies.
When my heart was grieved
and my spirit embittered,
I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before you.
Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Those who are far from you will perish;
you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds

Don't Take God Lightly

Most God fearing people understand the power that lies in his hands. Most understand that choice brings us to him. Faith and works opens his eyes to us. Jesus allows us his presence. What people need to remember is when it comes to choice and believing there is an equal and opposite force counter attacking the weak. The misguided. The lost.

God is all powerful. He shows us that through out the Bible. In today's world many try to explain away his power with science. Again that word choice pops up. We all have a choice in our beliefs. We must prepare ourselves for attacks from the enemy at all times.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

Are We Driven?

In the Bible you find many a story of the chosen people and the hardships that they endured. The captivity, the enslavement, the wondering, being lost. All so disenchanting.  A couple lessons learned from these experiences. God wants the lost to see that living on their sinful morals, will do great harm to the people. How would it be to live amongst the lost? Knowing that there are so many that have no clue who God is and what he is capable of. Living amongst those that throw caution to the wind. But living with the faith, that God has entrusted you with to carry on amongst this crazy and vile environment. It is easy to imagine what the historical lost experienced. Yet, looking at mankind in the twenty first century you find such similarity. Stay faithful. Trust in Almighty God.
Matthew 17:20 It was because you do not have enough faith," answered Jesus. "I assure you that if you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this hill, "Go from here to there!' and it will go. You could do anything!"

Do Not Be Afraid

When Jesus rose on that third day and appeared to his disciples, they could not fathom that it was Jesus. They were scared and felt guilty that he was dead and they weren't. They simple did not recognize who he was.  Would we recognize him today?

Revelation 1:17-19 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

“Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.

To Be Of Sound Mind

To know that God loves you. To know that your are spiritually connected. These are  feats of total faith. When you can feel the presence of the Lord, it is an awesome and most humbling feeling. When you can remove the chains and bounds of everyday life and put yourself in the path of righteousness and oneness with God. The feeling is indescribable. Know thy self. Know the Lord and all else comes......

The PurposeTo Live Is Reality

As our days move on in time and we celebrate our years growing older. Can we look back on the years lived so far and ask. Have I done the best I could? Is God satisfied with my life? Is there something better I sould be doing? These questions of purpose are normal. When thought is put into how you lead your life, you are fulfilling Gods purpose. When you can deduct the things that you are doing and replace them with the things you should be doing, life is reality and redemption is certainly on the horizon. God  is good all the time. If we listen to his guiding words and whispers we will have purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Has God Forgotten Our Afflication & Our Oppression?

There are many who are of this world and believe that the world is coming to a crashing end. That there is too much strife and affliction for there to be a God. How can God let so many people suffer? If there is a God why would he allow so much oppression? People of faith, who do not question but understand. We all have choices in this world. God does not run man or direct him or her what to do, when to do it, how to do it. Man was given choice by way of Adam and Eve ions ago. We see how that turned out. Same thing applies in today's age. We have a choice between good and evil. Right and wrong. God is watching us through our hearts and our spirits. Our souls. Those who are void of these things are oppressed and are afflicted. The conclusion is to follow the guidance of God. Live vicariously through Jesus Christ and maintain your life upheld by Jesus and God. Believe me when I say this can be much more difficult then one can imagine. All we can do is the best we can. Ask for forgiveness when we stumble. Look deep into our hearts to provide the same unconditional love to others as God gives to us.

Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

An Infinite Waged War

Since man has stepped foot on this earth, there has always been a war waged between good vs evil. Which is in domination? Who succumbs to the battle? Who is lost? Who is found? The war continues, and rages wildly. And takes its toll. With our world and civilization at its present stage. Evil is spread much faster. Good has its shadowy moments. It reiterates the Bibles stories of the last days and times. We must walk in the light. Know that our spirits and souls need to be fed a good diet. God is alive and well. But so is the devil.

Salvation is a word with the following meanings: deliverance from harm, from sin. Preservation from harm, ruin or loss. The question becomes a much more personal and complex matter when you ask yourself. To whom shall I look for my salvation? Is it something I control? Is it something out of my hands completely?

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

Isaiah 57:12 You think that what you do is right, but I will expose your conduct, and your idols will not be able to help you.

Through Jesus Christ my soul is saved. He is my salvation. Because man has made it too complicated. Man is sinful. I am amongst men, however I have and will continue to repent of my sin. To ask for forgiveness. And do the works that God has asked me to do. That is my salvation. What is yours?

Have You Chosen The Easy Road?

Many these days have no choice but to take the hard road in life. However there are some who proclaim to know what hard knocks mean. Those that profess to understand. Those that have a need to be part of the oppressed but have not really experienced the truth of the matter. God has seen his people through some of the hardest times a civilization could have endured. Those that believe can truly testify to the oppressed being granted relief. But the sheep in wolves clothing lurks among the believers trying so hard to get them to turn away from our almighty God . No matter the trouble and woe, we cannot lose faith. Faith is truly all we have. God got you. But you have to be sincere in his love.

The Only Deterrent Is You

How often have you found yourself frustrated and caught in a tizzy when things don't go as they should? Most would answer quite often. The key to glory. The key to seeing all things through is waiting on the Lord. It may take seconds. It may take minutes, months or years. In the interim pray loudly, thankfully, gloriously. It will pass. Do not react. Calmly pray it away giving God the glory. Calling on his angels. Covering yourself in the blood via request from Jesus and God. It is simple.

Psalm 108:2 Arise, my glory; arise, psaltery and harp: I will arise in the morning early.

A Fast Clean-Up

As our civilization moves forward, time seems to stand still for no one. Everything is expected to be done before the present. By all measures, at least instantly. It is important to not rely so much on the instant gratification of an accomplishment as opposed to putting in the work(quality) to getting a long term effect. And so goes for our love for the most high. Our God expects us to fail at some things. That is why going through Jesus is a win win situation. However, man has incorporated his expressions, his prayers, his love for God and Jesus into the do it now, instant approach to salvation. Not! Our salvation is based on our works. And works being something done unconditionally and truly from the heart. If it is done otherwise it is not genuine. God sees that. Be of good heart. Sow, from the soul. Do not fall into the traps of our everyday living. Take the time to do a fast clean up. Understanding and Wisdom should be the outcome once done(the clean-up). Call on God in times that are not an emergency. Just thank him for your very existence. He will appreciate that.
*Fast clean-up is a term used to clean and scrub junk files on a computer.

What Is It That We Truly See?

There are things in this world that are physically seen and felt. Smelled and tasted. However we are not one dimensional creatures. God did not make us to just be physical sensors. We have souls. We have minds to think. We have an inner spirit.  It is so very important to understand that there must be a balance between all. When either system is in fluxed or deprived the other (system) over compensates. This is how arguments escalate. This is how happiness expressed comes about. The key to it all is Wisdom and Understanding. This is a universal choice. A great deterrent to any out of balance situation.There is always a calm before any storm. That is the time to think and pray. And pray not only that you survive the storm but that your wisdom and understanding, which is a gift from God more valuable then silver and gold see you through.

Proverbs 4:7 Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.

It Is As Simple As This

Psalms 139

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!
Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.
For they speak against You wickedly;
Your enemies take Your name in vain.
Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
I hate them with perfect hatred;
I count them my enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.

Man Has Choices

The book of Proverbs has some of the most profound words. This book filled with wisdom and understanding. So much can be related to these days and times.

 Proverbs 30:11-14

There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.

There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.

There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

The leech has two daughters.
    ‘Give! Give!’ they cry.
“There are three things that are never satisfied,
    four that never say, ‘Enough!’:
the grave, the barren womb,
    land, which is never satisfied with water,
    and fire, which never says, ‘Enough!’

Looking at our world today the latter verses seem to fit very close to the part of our society that continually want instant satisfaction (no earning, no working for anything). The reference of the barren womb means  that this generation will always have an insatiable need for wanting it all now. The land that is never satisfied with water refers to the very same thing. I want what I want now and do not care how, or what I have to do to get it. Therefore the fire never says enough!

We as believers of the most high, know that this type of being will exhaust all resources including man. We have to pray. Keep our hearts in the right place. Listen to that quiet whisper. Be obedient to God, never man.

The Only Biblical Reference To Church Is Found In Matthew

On Sunday's many of us take this day as a time for rest. A time for family. A time to gather with many in a sanctuary to praise and worship God. When Christianity was in its infant stages, there was no church. There were temples built and erected to represent God. But the gathering places were in the homes. Hymns were sung most of the time to express ones feelings of God and to God. In the book of Matthew, which is the lead book of the New Testament, Chapter 18:15 If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you,you have regained that one.
This verse spells out to me what the mission of a church leader is. Matthew was an evangelist. He preached. He passed on many a story of the life and times of Jesus and the word of God.

There Is No One Who Has Done No Wrong

Part of knowing our God and the things that he expects from us is written. The Bible has many a place pre-Jesus that has brought man and God to a crossroads. Man being the ultimate sinner, but some who are truly righteous and walk with the spirit of God within. Ezra, the prophet speaks to God on behalf of the very people who are trying very hard to do the right thing. However, none are without wrong. Here is his prayer before he ascends to the heavens. * These verses are taken from the New Oxford Annotated Bible with Apocrypha

2 Esdras 8:24-36
O Lord, you created me, and I am your servant, so listen to my prayer.  As long as I have life and understanding, I cannot keep silent.  "Do not take account of the sins of your people; rather, consider those who have served you faithfully.  Pay no attention to godless people and what they do, but take into account those who have kept your covenant in spite of all their sufferings.  Do not think about those who have lived wicked lives, but remember those who have gladly confessed you as God. Do not destroy your people because of those who have lived like animals, but be mindful of those who have taught your Law in such a wonderful way.  Do not be angry with those you consider worse than animals, but show your love to those who have always trusted in your glorious presence.  "It is true that we and our ancestors have lived our lives in ways that bring death, but it is because of us who are sinners that you are called merciful.  You will surely be called merciful if you choose to take pity on us - we are sinners without any righteous deeds to our credit.  Those who are righteous will receive their reward on the basis of the many good works that they have stored up with you.  "What are human beings that you should be angry with them? What is this mortal race that you should be so bitter against it?  To speak the truth, no person was ever born who did not sin; there is no one living who is not guilty. Therefore, Lord, your righteousness and goodness will certainly be made known when you show your mercy to those who have no treasure of good deeds.

Heed To The Warnings

Not a book on this earth exist that tells of the stories of old. The stories of new and the stories of what is to be. Except the Bible. If we go to church every Sunday sometimes Wednesdays or any other day of the week, the preacher focuses on an exert or two. The scholar dissects each section and puts forth their interpretation. I say to you who read this blog. Pick that book up read it. If it takes you a plain version or the KJV, read it. You will not need anyone to interpret anything for you. These words are there, for you to re-exam any time you need it. God is there for you anytime you call. He may not act just when you want him but he hears and will always provide the right time and place for your every need.

2Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Do Not Let Man's Demise Influence Your Spirituality

In the book of Revelations you find many a frightening thing that John saw. And the writers of the oldest and most read book decided to put these visions as the last. Mainly to get the readers attention(as the Greek style of writing often did). The thing to remember, is no matter where the stories, the written analogies, the laws according to God are placed these things impacted the world. As stated in the last days and times of this civilization our minds, bodies and souls need to have believed in and followed the outlines and guidance of God and this all excepted through Jesus Christ. Who suffered all the atrocities a man could suffer for our sake. So the next time you see men & women on their destructive paths, pray really hard with all sincerity, to the Lord.

Revelations 22: 10-13

And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
“Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy.

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

The Word Of God Stands Forever

There are some who say "well if there was a God why would....?" or "where is your God now?" These are words of a non believer. A faithless person. A lost soul.

No where in the Bible does it say God's world is perfect. That things won't happen. The only perfect world where nothing was needed except faith and trust was in the garden of Eden. And it was not perfect because God gave Man a choice as he does now. To believe.
Romans 1:18-20
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Looks Can Kill

When you read of some of the prophets in the bible not only do you read of their God given talent to prophesy but you also get a description of the kind of person they appeared to be. Elijah was heavily bearded looked a little rough around the edges. John the baptist looked like a vagabond. Daniel until he cleaned up for the king he looked a hot mess too. These men were key in spreading the word of God. Letting the people know that there would be one that comes after them that will save souls. If this type of person stood on the corner today and shouted these very things. Most would judge first. Then chalk the talk up to crazy. Lunacy.
We need to be careful who we draw an opinion on. We need to put our inhibitions aside. And pray for the lost.

Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

I Am At Fault

Has there ever been a time in your life that you owed someone something? You know it. They know it. They seem a little stand offish because they know that you owe them. You want to pay the debt back but do not have a way to. And it seems your mountains of debt are getting bigger and bigger. You want to say to the person "yes, I know I owe you, and I am really sorry if it has caused a problem". " I never had any intention to do something like that". But you never say it. Instead you go through your life still owing. That person is cordial but still stand offish. You try so very hard to wish your debts away. God, if only I could have this amount over here. Man would that help so much. Here's the ticket to this true life scenario. God knows your heart. He says be that of a cheerful giver, and it shall come back to you. God also wants the debtor to change he or she's ways so that debt is no longer a factor. Intention. What is on the heart is seen by God. He has forgiven. However, he may keep you in a place until your heart changes so that he can change your situation.

Matthew 7:7-9

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

The Message Is For Everyone Not Just A Chosen Few

When you read the first four chapters of the New Testament, you see that the authors tell their version of the events that happened as Jesus traveled. Most of the events pretty much parallel one another with the exception of Jesus going off on the merchants in the Temple.

Matthew 21:13 Jesus says it is written my houses shall be called a house of prayer but you have made it a den of thieves.

Mark 11: 15-17 Is not my house to be made a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves.
Luke 19 :45-46 My house is a house of prayer and you have made it a den of thieves

But the most dramatic and most telling. The chapter and verse(s) that show the actual anger, the result of the crimes and what the future holds is in John 2:14-22.
Jesus actually fashions a whip, drives the cattle the sheep the chickens and the men and women out of the temple. Over turned the tables, threw the money outside. Jesus said Take these things away! Do not make my Fathers house a house of merchandise. The disciples remembered a prophesy written that said Zeal for your house has eaten me up. After all of this the Jews said to Jesus "So what sign do you have that this is wrong? And what makes you the boss?"Jesus answered and said here's the sign "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up".

If you know your Biblical history, the temple(Jesus) was, tortured, mocked and killed on the cross. Jesus rose on the third day, proving that all that had been prophesied came to pass and that through him the "temple" was built in Gods image everlasting.

Make A Joyful Noise

If you put some thought into the miracle of life you will be in total awe. To see a picture of a baby developing, growing, living inside of a women is nothing but Gods loving kindness to the world. It is simply and beautifully amazing.

Psalms 66: 1-5

 Shout with joy to God, all the earth!
 Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!
 Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.
 All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name." "Selah"
 Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf .

Will The Ending Remain The Same?

Years ago there was a movie that came out called the Adjustment Bureau. Great movie. The movie was loosely based on  how Gods steps were to be carried out and nothing should or could be changed no matter what. However, the movie twist and turns giving the main character a little wiggle room to change his pre- arrranged outcome.  The main character encounters an angel who helps him and the female character change the outcome of the ordered steps. All the while the "adjustment bureau" tried keeping the outcome on track. They were like the middle men interceding for God or so it seemed.
In real life, we rely on our faith. We trust in God to see us through. We do not have to rely on an adjustment bureau to keep us on track. Yes, our steps are ordered. BUT life is what we make it and the outcome changes all of the time. Be ready to adjust anytime.

Psalms 33: 4-6
For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.  He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.  By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.

A Psalm For You

Sometimes it takes just a moment out of your day to show graciousness to the almighty. It does not matter the time of day as long as it is done. Because truly if it were not for our God where would we be? This world and all of it's troubles stem from men. Wayward, evil, thoughtless men. God has done none of the destruction and devastation happening. So yes, take time out to give thanks that we are able to do so. (Live).

Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the mountains
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

Remember Your Creator

One of the wisest men there ever was was King Solmon. He wrote 3 of the books in the Bible all pertaining to the wisdom and understanding he received via God. The following chapter and verse says it all. We are to know these things, because in the end all that matters is thus: Solomon warns us of our recklessness, of false teachings and books, of what we do in life and how it will matter in the end when we are before God.  Read these words and heed

Ecclesiastes 12~

Remember your Creator
    in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
    and the years approach when you will say,
    “I find no pleasure in them”—
before the sun and the light
    and the moon and the stars grow dark,
    and the clouds return after the rain;
when the keepers of the house tremble,
    and the strong men stoop,
when the grinders cease because they are few,
    and those looking through the windows grow dim;
when the doors to the street are closed
    and the sound of grinding fades;
when people rise up at the sound of birds,
    but all their songs grow faint;
when people are afraid of heights
    and of dangers in the streets;
when the almond tree blossoms
    and the grasshopper drags itself along
    and desire no longer is stirred.
Then people go to their eternal home
    and mourners go about the streets.
Remember him—before the silver cord is severed,
    and the golden bowl is broken;
before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
    and the wheel broken at the well,
and the dust returns to the ground it came from,
    and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
“Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher.
    “Everything is meaningless!”
Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails given by one shepherd. Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body
Now all has been heard;
    here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
    for this is the duty of all mankind.
For God will bring every deed into judgment,
    including every hidden thing,
    whether it is good or evil.

Dietary Retrictions

Our lives as on this earth include feeding the body. Feeding it properly to live a good life. Good life predicated on doing both the physical and exercising the requirements of the soul provided by our guide the Bible. Of which many a story comes to pass on the things people went through back then before and after Christ. In the book of  Maccabees you find reference to the body the soul and the mind how one feeds the other. Life is based on that. If one part of this equation is missing it throws the balance off completely.

4Maccabees 2:28 Just as pleasure and pain are two plants growing from the body and the soul, so there are many off shoots of these plants.Each of which the master cultivator, reason, weeds and prunes and ties up and waters thoroughly irrigates and so tames the jungle of habits and emotions. For reason is the guide of virtues, but over the emotions sovereign.

Today Is The Best Day Of The Rest Of Your Life

We should live each day truly as if it were our last. What would you do? The first thing that comes to most peoples mind is to tell their loved ones how much they mean to them. The second usually is to apologize and forgive others. Thirdly most want to give from their hearts to a charity, to someone in need. Then they get around to thanking God for all that he has done. Or speak to God for the first time, asking forgiveness for not doing so sooner. Take note of the order above. These things may list differently with some. The jest however is the content. Observe these things. Each one of them should be done every single day. Not on your last.

The book of Psalms written by David and some of the musicians on his staff speaks mostly of giving thanks, asking for forgiveness, begging for God to see his heart. Against all odds God does. He can do the same for you. Break out your own "Psalms". Speak to God and your love ones daily.
