Are We Equip To Slay The Giant?

The Philistine Giants tormented the Israelites. Taunted them. Teased them. Killed them. Until David, the son of Jessie came along. A young man in the midst of a war between the Giants and his people. In our lives we have giants to contend with. However like David, having faith and calling on God can certainly give us the stones we need to slay them.

I Samuel 17

But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”

Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”

Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them.

“I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off. Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.

Meanwhile, the Philistine, with his shield bearer in front of him, kept coming closer to David. He looked David over and saw that he was little more than a boy, glowing with health and handsome, and he despised him. He said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and the wild animals!”

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”

As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.

So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.

In The Face Of Adversity, To Whom Do You Run?

Running from adversity is not an option for the faithful. God is our refuge. Faith is our deterrent. We may bend. Some may break. But choosing God over running. Choosing God over any man made fix is the way to go, and the way to stay. Anything else leaves you standing and vulnerable to the evils and wiles of you know who.

Psalm 1:1-6

Blessed is the man
    who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
    nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
    planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
    and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
    but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
    nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
    but the way of the wicked will perish.

What's A Mother To Do?

In the world that we live in today, struggle is an everyday occurrence. It comes down to choosing to do without. Sacrificing to the tenth degree. No one is immune. Especially the ones who appear to have all that they need. They are really among the lost. If your spirit is not connected to your higher source (God), you will never be satisfied. The humble and meek are rewarded with Gods promise.

2 Peter 1:4

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God

Sirens In The Night

Warning signs. Catastrophe. Pestilence. Pain. Agony. All adjectives describing the beginning of the end according to the Bible. Some fancy the notion that we are living in end times. If we are we must get right with God. If we aren't we still have to get right with God. The things described above simply mean, that life is a cycle. The things that occur on this earth are on the most part out of our control. Our physical being has learned to cope. Our spiritual being needs to do more then cope. We must be obedient to the word. Do our very best to live up to Gods expectations. No one is perfect. Mistakes are made. That is what Jesus gave his life for. Our sins. Be humble and honor that.

Exodus 15:2

The Lord is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation;
He is my God, and I will praise Him;
My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

It's All About Love

There are some that make Love so complicated. Love does not mean you have to go out and buy this or that. Love never has a price on it. Love doesn't mean you will get hurt if you show it. That's what love is for to give it away no matter what. It is the purest, most unconditional emotion we have. It is meant to give away unconditionally. God has done it, and continuously does it. We are no better then he.
I Corinthians: 1-13

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

This Too Shall Pass

Isaiah 16:7-9
The oppressor will come to an end,
    and destruction will cease;
    the aggressor will vanish from the land.
In love a throne will be established;
    in faithfulness a man will sit on it—
    one from the house of David—
one who in judging seeks justice
    and speeds the cause of righteousness.

The question to ask is "does the destruction of man continue, and are there consequences to those that are blatantly unloving of his or her fellow man?"
We do not have to be of this world. God sees everything. We may have to live among these type of people, but we do not have to live like them.

Bad Times Do Not Bring Defeat to the Faithful

Every where that you turn these days, temptation, hate, sin and more sin are right there to meet you face to face. As David said in his times of trouble. Be grateful to God because you have a purpose. God is steering you along your path. You may hit bumps. You will heal. You will get through. Know God in you heart. And he will do the rest.

I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up,
And have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
I cried to You for help, and You healed me. O LORD, You have brought up my soul from Sheol. O LORD my God,You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit.

Not Everyone Can Grasp The Meaning Of Life

There are many who walk amongst us with disturbing, unclean spirits. These are the killers, the rapist, the evil people. The ones that have no regard at all for life. These are the people who need to be in hell but are walking the earth instead. We have to ask God for protection. We have to pray everyday for the angels to show us favor. And ask for wisdom and understanding so as not to fall prey to such things. Yes, bad things happen to good people and we have not the answer. Only God does.
 Ephesians 6:10-18
Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might….put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (trickery) of the devil….for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places….wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand….stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness….and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace….above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench (put a stop to) all the fiery darts (tests, trials) of the wicked….and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God….praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Peace And Be Still

There are so many unbelievers out there. There are so many hanging on to both worlds, as if this was the safe thing to do. No to both scenarios. God wants us to have faith in him. He doesn't have to provide you with physical proof to believe in him. Instead faith, trust and giving up self is all the proof God needs to enable him to supply you with all you need.

               Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

Can You Do It? Yes, You Can

Can you execute Gods will? Can you be mindful and loving to others? Is it worth sacrificing and doing without to praise and thank God? The answer to all of those questions is YES! God made a promise to those who kept his word. Those who do the works. Those who love unconditionally. God does not expect perfection. He expects faith, love and charity from us. Simple as that.

1Corinthians 16:13
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.

You Are Beautiful By Design

A child is born innocently enough. However the mother that carries that child those many months should realize that her child is absorbing any and everything that she encounters. That baby may not be able to see or touch the outside world but he or she hears the outside world. It would be so nice if all babies were privied to an awesome experience prior to entering the world. It would be such a different world. Instead we must live with the reality of the world as it is today. We must mend and correct. We must love over and excessively. We must teach our children Gods way. Simple as that.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The Oppressed

 Oppression is a man made derivative. Cruelness brought on by  thinking one is superior then the other. Some of this behavior can be found in the bible. The Jewish people were oppressed. Common man or gentiles were oppressed. In today's world many races and class of people are oppressed. It is one of the most cruel ways to treat anyone. What makes one decide these things? A rhetorical question of course. Why is the world not perfect? And if there is a God why does he allow such things to take place? From day one, man/woman were given a choice. God or the world. We see the result of the choice(aka garden of Eden). A believer has to live in the world but not be of the world. We have to do our very best to live up to Gods order. Those that don't will be judged for their behavior. And know God is working behind the scenes always.

Psalm 72:4

May he defend the cause of the poor of the people,
    give deliverance to the children of the needy,
    and crush the oppressor!

No One Can Serve Two Masters

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

This world that we live in has placed Money at the top of any and everything . It seems as though it (money ) is not only a necessity but a thing many crave. Many kill over. Many die over. People seemed possessed.  However if you are walking with God. You are humbled by life. God is first in everything that you do. God's promise is that with faith and works he (God ) would supply your every need. To live in this world does not mean that you are of this world. Do not place faith in money instead believe that God has your best interest at heart always.

How Do You Dance With The Devil?

How do you work,play and live around the unsaved? How can you stay out of harms way? Is it up to you to go toe to toe with them, the unclean? Must you be responsible to prove who God is and what he can do? The answer is no. Your job is to live the way God expects you to live. It is the power of Jesus and Gods spiritual warriors that take care of these unclean spirits. It is not up to us to eliminate the things they adhere to. It is very important that we listen to God. That we ask for that hedge of protection. That we put on our armor. That we do not fall for the ugliness, the sinfulness, the extreme worldliness. It is spiritual warfare at its best. Prayer always. Let God enforce his laws not you.

Ephesians 5:1-14

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,
    rise from the dead,
    and Christ will shine on you.”

The Lesson Is: Giving Up Self

Arrogance is a strange fruit. Once eaten it destroys a persons ability to think about anything but themselves. God wants the total opposite. We are to put others before us. We are to be humble and accept the essentials that are given us. God promised that we would want for nothing. If you have a roof over your head, why do you want another? If you have clothes to wear, why do you want more, more, and more? If you have sustainability(a job, a car) why do you want more? God wants us to be able to live humbly and give unconditionally with out complaining. And then he sees to your hearts desire. He wants to be assured that he comes first in our lives always. Remember Job. Remember David. Remember Saul who later became Paul. Each one humbled to the bottom of humbleness.

Proverbs 24:14

So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

My Rock My Salvation

Being in the midst of a storm is not fun. Nor is it safe. It is very frightening. Things are moving faster then you can conceive. There is darkness. There is a sense of being lost. Nothing is where it should be. There is only one steadfast thing that comes to mind. That rock. If only you can get to that rock. So too is the spiritual storms in our lives. We have to reach for the rock. That steadfastness. The only salvation there is. God
Exodus 15:2
David said, the lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.

What Does It Take For You To Know God?

When the copulation of stories was penned for what we know as the Bible. There wasn't one. The spreading of Christianity was done by word of mouth. The interest in one God, Christ and the followers of Christ came with time. The actual accounts of Jesus, his miracles. His death. All written about years later. So the burning question "What does it take for me to know God"? Belief that something other then man controls this world. A spirit that grows close to the unseen, the unheard.  Being aware of those gentle nudges (instinct, sixth sense) in the right direction, away from evil and self destruction. A feeling that is indescribable. Reading the bible to see what took place back then may help in understanding who God is and what he can do for you. It seems ironic that not having the bible as a reference in the early days allowed the people to simply believe.

Mark 9:24
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

The Critics

There are many who walk amongst us who are disbelievers. Ones that question the very existence of God less alone Gods only begotten son. Nay Sayers, sorcerers, etc. They believe in themselves and the world. Unfortunately they will pay the consequences of those beliefs. That does not mean we believers have to duck and hide. Continue to have your relationship with your most high God. Have faith that he sees all and will live up to his promises. Life is not to be taken for granted. God isn't either.

1Corinthians 16:13

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Not A Question Of Why Or How

If you have faith. If you believe. If you understand. That there is a spiritual world that exist and the good side of that world is with GOD. We are human tangible beings. We have five senses that make up our physical self. The mind body and soul work together. And that each rely on the other in having a sense of well being. God made us in his image. That is not to say we are made perfectly. Image means the external form. The internal mechanisms, the spirit, our brain are used to keep us alive. If there are parts of this human schematic that is missing or comes up short we are lost, sick, incapacitated. Through medicine, prayer, exercise it is possible to keep ourselves healthy. God sent Jesus to help us know what is expected of us spiritually. The doctor tells us what is expected of us to keep our bodies in good order. Challenging the brain keeps it healthy as well. Know God. Have faith in him and only him.

2 Peter 1:2 May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

There's No One Stronger Then God

In our daily lives it is not an understatement to say that a battle is fought both in the flesh and spiritually. It is not uncommon at all to struggle with both. The nice thing is that God has provided guidelines. There is a how to book that remains number one on the best seller list. This book gives example after example of things that happen and the results there of. Man is not to fear. Pray sincerely to God. Have faith. Know that wisdom and understanding are more precious then  silver and gold. David is one that comes very close to us in his daily activity. In this Psalm he speaks of dealing with those that dislike him. Sound familiar? Office staff? Boss? Family member? Though these things bother David, he knows that in the end God has his back. He worries and writes about it just the same.

Psalm 56:1-5

Be merciful to me, my God,
    for my enemies are in hot pursuit;
    all day long they press their attack.
My adversaries pursue me all day long;
    in their pride many are attacking me.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
    In God, whose word I praise—
in God I trust and am not afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?

If It Be Your Will God

Many many people think with conviction that they are in control of their own destinies. Perhaps the belief that there is not a higher and more powerful force then man. This is a connotation that these lost souls grew up with. And that is okay. Non-believers exist. It is not on the believer to make judgement. That is for God. We must stay in faith. Be in the world not of it. Keep our beliefs. Sometimes we must keep them between ourselves and God. There are too many lost to try to convince.
Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

It Is A Matter Of Faith

King David had so many things that made him aware that God had his hands on him at an early age. During his reign as King he praised God through song. Many of his words resonate in our spirits  today. These words speak volumes.

Psalm 27

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.
Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

When Two Or More Gather

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Jesus, as he begin to tell regular people of God and what he can do for them, the crowds increased. There were many who came to hear what he had to say. There were many who came to see the miracles that healed others. And many who just wanted to be haters. No matter the reason they were gathered there in one spot. There was no ceremonies. There was no pomp and circumstance. There wasn't a plate sent around to collect money. No choir singing songs. Just normal hard working everyday people. God saw their hearts. Jesus fed his flock both in the word of God and literally with food. So the next time you visit a church, remember the original church. Think about Gods purpose and what it means to you.

There Is Nothing More Powerful Than A Mothers Prayer

As mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, women are faced with a lot of responsibility. It is her job to be a good partner in a relationship. The jewel in the proverbial crown. It is her job to raise the children with the help of the father of course, but the major burden is hers. A daughter must make her family proud because that image is reflective of her family. Thus a fine young lady. And lastly for a women to be a sister to someone is to provide a support system for the needs of others. With this said the prayer of a mother extends to God's ears. He hears a mothers heart. Understands her needs as a women.  The Bible offers many a story on each and every facet of being a women. They are all awesome.  Prayer is powerful. We must pray as women, mothers,wives and sisters often.

Proverbs 31:26-31

She opens her mouth with wisdom,
    and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently,
    but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
    and let her works praise her in the gates.

A Simple Thank You Will Do

Lord, you know me inside and out.
You know about my pain and distress,
you understand the fears of my heart.
At the cross you endured inhabiting agony.
You have gone before me into the darkness
And emerged in power and glory.

At this time I lean on You
I draw my strength from Your endless love
And live in Your limitless grace
Trusting in You.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
—Psalm 23:2-3

Thank you, dear Father, for slowing down my frantic life and leading me to times of refreshment, rest, and nourishment. I trust that you will lead me to what I need as you mature me to have more and more of your righteous character. Please forgive me for getting too busy to hear your voice and to respond to your grace. In Jesus' name. Amen.

We Have To Think Of Life In A Simple Sense

Keep life simple. Love unconditionally. Do not harm one another intentionally. Do not fall victim to the worlds ill will and ugliness.
Pray and thank God often.

So Very Lost

There comes a time when you decide, do I really want to follow the life that he or she is leading? Do I dare challenge the "norm" ? Jesus challenged the norm every time he had a chance. Because the norm was keeping people from praising and worshiping God. The norm had rules and regulations as to how to do this and how to do that. You had to fit in. So here comes this man Jesus, who said wait hold on. Who are you hypocrites to judge any man? What makes you better then any of them? Of course they defended themselves. The bottom line is this: you do not have to conform to the ways of the world to be part of Gods kingdom. You have to have good intention. You have to put in some work. Nothing is easy. You have to give up self. Know how to put others needs before you very own.

John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

To The Trained Eye

When your life has shown through experience Gods hands have always been there. In your day to day activity God shows you if you pay attention that he still has his hands on you. That each step that you take leads you in the direction needed. Damage is done when one begins to take matters into their own hands. Going against the grain. Cheating, lying, stealing. All encouraged by the enemy. If we do fall off of the proverbial wagon God gives us encouragement. That through Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven. We have to come to him. Ask for forgiveness.
Zechariah 3:7
Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here.

Critical Thinking And The Bible

The writings in the Bible were written during the heyday of the Greek and Roman civilizations. Many of the authors were trained from the schools of these people.

 Think of critical thinking as a filter through which we examine truth claims. We ask questions of people and writings to find out if they are reliable--questions like,

What do you mean by that? (Defining terms)
Where do you get your information?
How do you know this is true?
What if you're wrong?

When it comes to the Bible, which claims to be the very word of God, these questions are still helpful. "What do you mean by that?" is an important question to ask when we come to the text. We need to discern whether something is literal or figurative, historical or poetic or prophetic. That's why it's so important to read and study the WHOLE Bible and not just verses here and there. The writers (and God inspiring the writers) had a definite meaning in mind when they wrote down the biblical text, and it's important for us to bring our understanding in line with their intent. For instance, when Jesus said, "I am the vine," did He mean He was green and stringy? Or was He speaking in figurative language? When we read the rest of John and see that He drew analogies a lot to help us understand spiritual truth, we can see that He wasn't speaking literally at this point. So yes, it is important to distinguish the meaning of a scripture for yourself. Ask for wisdom  and understanding. Ask more then one biblical scholar.

Proverbs 2:5-7

then you will understand the fear of the Lord
    and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;
    from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
    he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

Truth Is Sometimes Hard To Face

Imagine sitting amongst your friends and family looking around the room, knowing that one of them was going to turn against you?Which ultimately would cause your death. Imagine knowing that your time on this earth is up? You have lived as a human being, filled with all of the emotions man has. You have loved, you have gotten angry. You have forgiven. You have done some marginal things in life. Yes, I imagine Jesus must have been perplexed. If we know Jesus was fully aware of his fate and still pressed on, when as the son of God could have changed his outcome. We should be eternally thankful. None of us would have done so. We need to say to God each and everyday thank you. Jesus died for us. Wow!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
