God's Temple

2 Chronicles 6: 2

The Lord said He would dwell in the dark cloud.
I have surely built You an exalted house,
And a place for You to dwell in forever.

Imagine as a father you have been given a tremendous task by your  father. The responsibility of a nation rest on your shoulders. Because what ever decisions are made they are going to effect generations to come. Imagine working hard to please your father and wanting so desperately his approval even after you have messed up really really bad. This was David's relationship with God. David was given restitution for his sins, however he was not to provide the ultimate gift ; as was promised. No, God's temple was to be built by his son Solomon. The rest is history.

It takes tenacity. It takes trial & error.It takes faith. Each one of these cylinders represent a thread that holds us together. Any one of those missing will cause a break. Believe with out a doubt who God is and what he can do for you.

In times of trouble man seems to question Gods stance.
Habakkuk 1:1-12
 O LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, we will not die. O LORD, you have appointed them to execute judgment; O Rock, you have ordained them to punish. Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves? You have made men like fish in the sea, like sea creatures that have no ruler.  The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks, he catches them in his net, he gathers them up in his dragnet; and so he rejoices and is glad.  Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, for by his net he lives in luxury and enjoys the choicest food.  Is he to keep on emptying his net, destroying nations without mercy? God answers in the very next chapter.

Do Not Sell Your Soul

The enemy is so cunning and cras that soul exposure can happen at the drop of a dime. We must be very careful to whom we expose our souls. God should be first and foremost. However we are weak. We let people in. Most people  do not share our passions nor our truths. It takes practice to witness the true deallings of the devil. Stay in faith with The Lord and he will insure protection. Call on the angels they will always be at beck and call. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this isnot your own doing; it is the gift of God.

Yet, looking  back over the recorded history of the Bible people in general have been going through the same things for a long period of time. The advantage or disadvantage is that God had expectations and dealt with the people directly. We have had Jesus. Our short comings are not so punishable because Jesus died for our sins.

Words Are Powerful, But Actions Are Just As Powerful

How many times have we told our children that they should do something a certain way and we chose a short cut? There are many who have done and continually do these type of things. The value system in our nation has gone from bad to worst. Because of so many short cuts and the acceptance of them. When King David was a boy of 14. He came in from the fields after tending to the sheep for weeks to his dads camp being in an uproar. The giant Philistines were taunting and teasing them. Saying things like "You  could not defeat us if you tried". The men could not think of anything to get rid of these pest. Fighting them in battle would have been futile. In comes this 14 year old. Filled with wisdom and God. He does not hesitate on his plan. There were no short cuts. There was no cunning strategy. He confronts the giant, slays him and shows all that his actions were much more powerful then words. In our everyday lives we have to remember that people including our children watch our every move. Use wisdom and understanding. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

We have to pray for protection every day.

The Children Are Our Future

                                Blessed is the man.

It is so important in these troubled times to recognize that children  ingest what they see. If their environment  is conducive of love and is a nourishing place, they grow and blossom and begin to develop  love and how to express it. But if the circumstances are very different. Adverse, a child grows to accept  and adapt to unloving conditions. How do we who have experienced Gods love, our families love, show someone who has not been? The first thing is to get to their crossroad of innocent shedding where their pain began. You have to go there with them. Then begin to repair. It will take all of you, God and professionals to do so. It can be done. We cannot give up on our children they are our future.

To Be Real

They say wine gets better with age. It is also said that the best of wine makers can have a batch of vinegar as well. It all depends on how you process it. If you allow air to get in during the fermenting stages, the sugar is oxidized and you get vinegar. If you take this analogy and think about the Christian today. If one walks closely with God allowing no outside influence in, he or she becomes a full bodied child of God. However when the enemy twist and turns the truth, one could easily turn sour and lose sight of God all together.  2 Corinthians 5:7 We must walk by faith not by sight.

The devil is always always up to no good. You receive his invitations all the time. Smoke screens hit you as soon as your feet hit the floor. As you grow older and wiser, you learn to distinguish the signs. It can be trying. It can be exhausting. We do our best to get through it. God never gives us more then we can bear. You live through it God willing. You are then able to testify about it later. This in turn lets others know that they are not alone. That someone has been on this journey before.

Isaiah 40:31but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Many walk through their lives in dark spaces. Never feeling the effects of a lighted path. The human psyche allows for adjustment. However if one has grown accustom to the way things are, they don't readily change. So life grow stagnant. Gods word says seek and you shall find, ask and it shall be given. Gods children are meant to walk in the lighted path that God has given them. It is up to the individual to know this. God will not lead you astray.

Them not realizing that faith is unseen. You have to believe.

A Mothers Hope Is That Her Child Wants And Needs For Nothing

A mothers role is to carry a child. Bring a child into this world and nurture him or her with the God given tools that a mother is given. A mother is protective of her young. She has a kindred spirit with that child. A mother also knows that a father(guide) takes that child and shows that child the way of the world and how to live within in it. Both provide security and love. When these basic things are broken. If there is a deficit in any of the links here, the child misses out on a lot. This does not mean these things cannot be made up for. God has the same pattern. God allows us to find our way to him. Through Jesus mankind is forgiven for shortcomings. God is a God of second chance. We are not lost.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD

His Grace and Mercy Brought Me Through

It is so easy letting the small things bother us. We have all been there. At the office this one and that one get together and talk you over hear their conversation and it is about you. Or you run into a gate-keeper who thinks what she is gate-keeping belongs to her. When in essence she or he has no power. Yes, indeed these things can be a nuisance . The thing to remember and this takes practice and experience.  Ignore them they mean nothing, in the grand scheme of things.The only one that we have to please is GOD. The others have nothing to say about his path and in which direction you are going. None have any good at all to express. Why would we invest our time into such negativity? Because we are human. Let go of those weights. They are holding you down. Place yourself around uplifting people. You know you are loved by God that's good enough.

My God Is Such An Awesome God

This world has enough stimulus to keep everyone in sensory overload for a life time.It is up to us to distinguish noise from God's word. Knowing God and recognizing him for what he has done for you is a great thing. Man fails to realize that there is something bigger and better then he. After all God put us here. He knows exactly what our hearts feel. Faith in God almighty is an awesome thing thing to have.

James 2:14-26

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Don't Let Them Shake You

Today my reading took me to the words of another. But believe me when I say. He took the words right out of my mouth. Words today by Joel Osteen.

When God places a promise in your heart, you have to come to the place where you believe it’s going to happen so strongly that nothing can talk you out of it. It may seem impossible. All the circumstances may tell you that it’s not going to happen, but deep down you have to have this confidence, this knowing, that God is still on the throne. He is bigger than any obstacle. He already has a way, and at the exact time, what He promised will come to pass. You have this unshakeable confidence. You know that God is fighting your battles, arranging things in your favor, making a way even when you don’t see a way.

Instead of being discouraged, you get up in the morning thanking God that the answer is on the way. Instead of talking about how big the problem is, you go through the day talking about how big your God is. Your mind is set in one direction: victory, favor, healing, restoration. It may be taking a long time, but God didn’t bring you this far to leave you. You’ve seen Him do it in the past, and you know He will do it again in the future. You are fully persuaded because when you know your God, you have unshakeable confidence!

There Is An Elephant In The Room

So many believe that God's love requires a "PhD", to be worthy of it. This is so far from wrong. That is what Jesus said to the sophisticates of the church/temple back in the day. He basically said, (and I shall use today's terminology) "Hey listen fools, who died and made you guys the business?""God sent me to let everyone including you hypocrites, know that he is there for everyone." "Got it? Good" Of course he (Jesus) had a bounty on his head for saying and proving that very thing. Fast forward to this period in time. The same applies. Pomp and Circumstance is not a requirement for God to love you. Nor is it a requirement for you to love and worship him.

To Truly Believe Takes More Then Faith

In this day and age faith is tested to the max. In order to get through the severity of each of these type of days, is more then many can take. How do you refrain from the breaking point? You leave it with God, he moves mountains. Our society is so used to getting something right away. To wait on God is definitely a challenge. Most give up, and take matters into their own hands. The few that stick it out usually endure some very serious storms. But in the end as with Job, as with many. Their faith, their non-renunciation of God brings forth miracles you would never ever imagine.

2 Chronicles 20:17 
You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.

The Devil Is Relentless

It is not often that you can sit back in a leisurely fashion, and say "Oh that's just the devil, acting up again"No you are so caught up in the whirlwind. You literally have to just stop. By the time you realize the smoke screen is upon you your energy level is drained. If we could just remember, at the onset of a crisis. Or at the beginning of a conversation or phone call. To say Lord Jesus  intercede here. Let no weapons be formed against me. Let the fiery darts of the evil one bounce off of my shield back to where it came from. These things said would make the situation so very tolerable. Remember to pray. Stay in faith. Carry your sword(the bible).

I Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

This world the way it is today reminds us of this very scene. The immorality. The disdain. The uncleanliness of the spirits that roam this earth. The betting against mankind. It is all enough to cry out these very words.
