Words Are Powerful, But Actions Are Just As Powerful

How many times have we told our children that they should do something a certain way and we chose a short cut? There are many who have done and continually do these type of things. The value system in our nation has gone from bad to worst. Because of so many short cuts and the acceptance of them. When King David was a boy of 14. He came in from the fields after tending to the sheep for weeks to his dads camp being in an uproar. The giant Philistines were taunting and teasing them. Saying things like "You  could not defeat us if you tried". The men could not think of anything to get rid of these pest. Fighting them in battle would have been futile. In comes this 14 year old. Filled with wisdom and God. He does not hesitate on his plan. There were no short cuts. There was no cunning strategy. He confronts the giant, slays him and shows all that his actions were much more powerful then words. In our everyday lives we have to remember that people including our children watch our every move. Use wisdom and understanding. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
