During Jesus' day there were crowds who followed him where ever he went. There were no churches like there is today. There were temples for the rich and specially chosen to "worship" in. But mostly the common people worshiped, sang songs in their homes, in their communities. What does that say of today? Why are so many disconnected? These are rhetorical questions in this context, however if people were not so afraid of interacting with one another on the primace that they would be "hurt" in some form or fashion. Maybe communing with the community would not be so distant.
Psalm 57:5 Be exalted O God above the heavens. Let your glory be over the earth.
