The Teacher

How many teachers today break the mold by truly teaching? There are so many rules and regulations by school districts, it's hard to see the real talent of teaching is being applied. Jesus in his day ran up against many a road block. The more he taught, the more the powers to be saw him as a threat.

Matthew 22:36-40

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Are You A Hearer Of The Word?

There are many synical beings out there. As well as hypocrites. Blasphemers. Liars. Thieves. The list goes on. Ask yourself does the list of bad out weigh the Good? Let's say no contest. It truly isn't a contest nor game. God is good all of the time.

He Said My Grace Is Sufficient

How many times have you asked "God what am I doing wrong?" God hears that question more times then not.

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

God Is a The Strength Of My Heart

It can't be said enough. When you put God first, life chages completely. You no longer rely on man to fulfill your soul.

Exercising His Will

Have you ever been at a crossroads? One that is designed to have you go one way or another. When these things happen, there is nothing more important than to call on God to give you direction. If you don't hear or see subtle hints, wait. Pay attention. The answer could be right in front of your eyes. Have faith that you will be given the right answer.

Wait On The Lord

Psalm 27:14 wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD

We have to remember what God has for us is bigger then we could ever imagine. But you won't know any of it if you have no faith.

Planted Seeds

God knew what he was doing when he created mankind. He knew of the challenges and choices , given to them. He knew and felt disappointment when mankind made diasterous decisions. Then came Jesus Christ . In all of the religions of the world Jesus was the only one who died and rose again.

Create Me A Clean Heart

Racing through each day with a million things to get done, many tend to put praising God last. Or they contain their praise to a Sunday only task. Let's take a look at David. He wrote a whole chapter with nothing but praise to the almighty . This he did ( giving God the praise) day in and day out. The point is if this mighty King could put the time aside, why can't you?

God has such a bigger picture of your life's outcome, then you ever could imagine. Most people cut off their blessings, lose faith or have no belief what so ever. Sad to see. Sad to be a apart of. One could say these are all ingredients to being or almost being lost. It's a simple formula. Believe. Trust. Have Faith. Beware of the wolf in sheep's clothing.

Eternal Gratefullness

Just as the days seem to pass, uneventful, an angel appears out of no where and blesses you. When you are in tune with God. When you have that one on one relationship. Nothing can beat his greatness. Nothing.
Genesis 28:15
I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

In God We Trust

As Jesus continued his journey through the cities and towns in the countries we know today as the Middle East. He preached the Gospel ( The good news), explaining the simple lesson, that God loves all people Gentiles and Jews alike.
Romans 10:10-11
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame

How many in today's times would drop everything, which included their jobs to follow a man they barely knew? I would venture to say no one.

The Fruit Of The Spirit

Discouragement is so very easy to come by. Doubt gains strength in the weak. Can you imagine Jesus asking you during these turbulent times "where is your faith?

Saturday, January 17, 2015

Doubt springs up like a subtle fog encroaching the shoreline. Doubt can spread just as easily as a bad cold. But when we feel it. When doubt raises its ugly head, we have to shout upward and outward, I WILL NOT LOSE MY FAITH.

There Is Nothing Impossible For God

What responsible father would not want to see their child happy and content? This is how God views us, his children. He wants the absolute best for us. There are times when our lessons must be learned. We truly have to pay attention to what God is showing us.

Thursday, January 15, 2015

Have you ever felt alone? Felt as if there is no one  that can help? That you are standing totally naked ? These times are called the faith test. This is when you specifically have God to talk to.

Do Not Worry About Your Life

There are times when human nature, the spirit of doubt takes over our mind. We lose control of rational thought. Worry, frustration, anger, confusion. All negative connotations. Here's what God says:

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

From The Dark To The Light

Imagine sitting on the ledge over looking a dry dusty canyon. This done for a period of forty days.
Mathew 4:1-11

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’

Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Appreciating Gods Favor

There are many unbelievers who think their success is their own doing. Not taking away hard work or tanacity. Work is work. Having talent is a blessing. Let's take the case of David killing the giant. Davids talent was being good with a sling shot. His belief in God and his unwavering faith brought on favor from God. David was able to slay the Philistine giant with one stone.

It Is As Simple As

Psalm 100:3-4

Know that the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

Into The Wilderness

There is nothing more frightening then the unknown. We tend to feel uneasy when we trek upon untraveled ground. Until we remember, that we have done so before. And our Faith served as the beacon. God had us the whole time, we simply had to remain faithful.

Our Value And Net Worth In Gods Eyes

There are some  of us who were "raised" in the church. That means you were made you go. So many times you sit and sit. Made to listen sometimes attentively, sometimes not. Point is, out of all this "raising" and being made to go was there a one on one relationship with God developed? Many get a false sense of righteousness, out of the habit of going to church. The truth of the matter is a simple one. A person must be one with God. Knowing that by going through Jesus, and accepting that he died for all of mankind we will be saved.

My God Is A Good God

There are times when we reminisce. We think back. The thought of how things would be if only I had done something different. Having come eventually to the conclusion, that our steps are ordered. Good bad or indifferent life teaches. As we grow through the good and the bad times our spirit grows or it doesn't. If it does our relationship with God is strong. If not we wonder through life bitter and lost. Unable to cope.

Gods Hand Is Upon Us

Knowing and having a relationship with God is strictly by choice. There are those walking amongst us who put on the "spiritual" role. Being spiritual is a mute point if you do not have faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Either you believe in him or not. Spirituality is simply a tool. The point is to know thy God. He certainly knows you.

Lost Souls

To wonder aimlessly through this world , not knowing God, is torture. Many many people do. Many rely soley  on themselves and wonder why they aren't happy .

Pray For One Another

There are many who love bringing strife to the attention of the many. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Along with awareness there should be solutions or attempts to make changes. There are those that are so uncomfortable with change that they would rather keep things the same. You can believe that Jesus himself ran into such problems. " Lord forgive them for they know not what they do."

Stop With The Worry Don't You Know Who God Is?

Mark 6:26-28
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
If we trust in God, worry should never be an option. The enemy continues to whisper the past in your ear. Because that's all he knows. The enemy has no idea what God has in store for you.

Hope Is Never Lost With God

Just when we are at our lowest point. Just when we have given up. Hope shows up. Believing and trusting in God. Knowing that Jesus Christ gave his life to save wretched souls like ours. Keeps our faith strong.

It's When You Let Go And Let God That True Blessings Flow

It truly takes a listening ear to hear Gods points. We can walk through life in total denial, meaning we do what we want to do. As opposed to what God wants us to do. It's when you give up the very thing holding you back from moving ahead. Holding on to that friend. That husband. That job. We have to remember  that God wants the very best for us.

In The Beginning

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. Hewas in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
