You know when you are coming into Gods promises and blessings, when arbitrary things start happening. Usually looked on in the natural as negative and harsh. You say to yourself " Hmm what did I ask for from God?" Is this thing that's happening part of what his plan for me is? The answer is yes. When caught up in ungodly things, that's exactly what you do. Call on him, that's what God expects.

Have you ever told a lie? Then compound that lie with another lie? Then forget the original lie you told in the first place? The world is full of lies, cheats, and false prophets. People are people. The weak are vulnerable to the world around them. Not to say we can't get caught up in circumstances beyond " our" control. Many of us do. Here's the turning point. Or better said the deciding factor. We all fall short at one time or another. It is when we repent of our sin. Ask for forgiveness. And make sure that we ask for Gods help. The devil is the author of discouragement. Hopelessness. Guilt and shame. He has hold of you if you are reliving the past. If you are stuck and can't seem to get out of the same scenario that plays over and over again. That's when you either cry out for God to change you. Or you fall for satans tactics all over again. Jesus died for our sins. Therefore our sin is forgiven. We have to except Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior.
Matthew 4:10 Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"

It's hard to imagine that God had a direct relationship with the people. His very own creation. It was hard to follow the "law" during those times. God was in every aspect of the day. How you ate, slept, etc. man kept failing. Always coming short of Gods expectations. Something simular to us today. I imagine God had to wonder to himself: What will it take for these people to do things the right way? The answer was he in the form of a man. Jesus. We are all aware of the laws writen in the old testemant of the bible. We are also aware of the teachings of Christ. During this season of lent. It would not be at all wrong to give up self. Give it all to God.
* Lent is a period of fasting, moderation, and self-denial traditionally observed by Catholics and some Protestant denominations. It begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with Easter Sunday. The length of the Lenten fast was established in the 4th century as 46 days (40 days, not counting Sundays).

Have you ever been around someone who holds on to material things like it was the last there will ever be? What comes out of their mouth usually is" I can't give my last" or they hide and hoard. Imagine if God did that? Imagine if he couldn't forgive? Imagine if he held on to his blessings? What a selfish God he would be. We have nothing to worry about. Our God is a giving full of grace God. He doesn't hold back. As a matter of fact he gave his only son so that our sins could be forgiven. Let go of all things conditional. Give from the heart always.

There are many who call themselves " prophets ". I may be skeptical in this day and age. But when I open those pages in that last chapter of the Bible? I shake my head at that huge prophesy. All I know is there will be many who will answer for their actions( unsaved), non believers. Etc. the descriptions of the apocalypse is very dramatic and graphic. In fact you can almost envision it.
11Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. 12His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. 13He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. 15From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. 16On his robe at his thighe was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
We somehow as human beings get it mixed up. We feel the shame and guilt of wrong doing. Wrong thoughts. Wrong choices. We fail to remember who our God is. And that Jesus lived and died for us. We need to understand that God forgives. That judgement is not the responsibility of any man. We should ask forgiveness. Ask for Guidence. Ask for intercession. And let it go. God has you. Through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our savior we are of mercy and grace endure forever.

How does one know that he or she is serving the lord? When you have given up putting value on worldly things as if they make you or break you. When you know humbleness and humility inside and out. And when faith brings God straight to you. For it is with him do things seem impossible become totally possible.

The Philistines were a bunch of big loud bullies. They scared most that encountered them. They were pretty ruthless. The armies of Israel were no match for them. Intimidation was follie to them. Until God led David right into their path. No one saw what was about to happen coming. And surely the Philistines laughed at the thought of a young man; a shepherd standing against their biggest and baddest. When the giant laughed and faced this young boy with nothing but a sling in his hand and God on his side, he never saw the stone coming. Which was slung and sunk into the Giants skill. Dead he was. So who is your Goliath? Remember what God can do. Goliath can be conquered .

There are a lot of people who have no idea that they are being used by the devil himself. Many proclaim that they are in control of their being. They bible says different. Those of us that know that God is in control, understand the worldly things going on around us. God helps us with discernment.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
God is who. You may not understand the why. You may see things only through your eyes. The devil wants you to lose faith in God. He wants you to remember pain, guilt, panic, stress. Anything that distracts you from relying on and trusting in the one and only God.

Here's the thing. Many many so called Christians, go through the motions of fulfilling Gods expectations. Most fall short. It is not about how much money and material things you have or are giving away. It is about giving up self completely and unconditonally for God. Again we fall short. This is where Jesus comes in. God sent him in the form of man to experience what man experiences. He also gave many the insight to how and what to do in the eyes of the Lord. Through Jesus we shall be saved. By accepting him as our Lord and savior.

As children of God, we are constantly bombarded by the Devils activity. Once recognized and by not giving any attention to the ugly side of things. God comes through with favor. Making life worth living. Something to remember. No good deed goes without recognition from God almighty.

It is ironic how mindless sheep can sit and watch someone on television and believe what they say to be true. Satan has got ahold of just about every thing " in the world". We can be in the world but not of it. People strong in faith can see right through these hypocrites. Our whole being should revolve around God. We cannot change this world. We can continue in doing Gods work. Which means giving of self unconditionally.

Sometimes it takes cleaning your perverbial house, in order to hear whatGod is trying to tell you. With noise and distraction around( which the devil loves) it's impossible to stay focused. But if you see what's happening, you can make the necessary adjustments. Prayer changes a lot of things. This would definitely be time to ask for guidence.

If humbleness is not a part of your life, then what is? Pride and Vanity make you an intricate part of this wicked evil world. When King David played with fire in his adult life( messing around and impregnating a married woman) then sending her husband to his death. He was made to regret it all. However he humbled himself more then anything. He begged for forgiveness. He put himself aside, speaking to God daily. Hourly. The book of Psalm emulates his words of humbleness and humility. We as humans cannot walk through this world salvating after worldly things. It's is about repentance. Having a giving loving heart. Staying true and faithful to God.

Not many can lay claim to what their purpose in life truly is. It takes a spiritual awakening to understand it. It takes a Christ like walk to know and maintain it ( purpose). Purpose comes from the heart. The most important characteristic is, the selfless giving that goes along with it. Purpose, everyone should have one.

That is the language on our currency. It's ironic that it is placed there, because money has nothing to do with God. I trust that God will keep me from evil. I trust that my repentance of sin will be seen and acknowledged by God. Jesus was sent to show many unbelievers that God does exist. And that simply having faith in all God has so many rewards. We cannot fathom Gods plans for us. That is why I say In God I do trust all of the time.

This is the kind of faith Noah had to take 80 years to build an ark? How about the faith Abraham had when he was told to kill his only son? There are countless stories through out the bible about faith. It is a choice, that man has to believe and trust in God.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
God will never leave or forsake you. You have to have faith and trust in him.
